In my Stargazer Skillet I'd fry out cracklins and bacon. I'd use those to make my mother's cracklin cornbread. Then salute some fresh green beans with garlic and radish pods. Radish pods are the seed pods. They are the best part of the radish! Then I'd fry pork chops, and deglaze with apple juice. The Apple juice stuff would go in monkey bowls to dip your chop in bite by bite. Happy 💃dance!

And honestly, those twice backed potatoes brings back memories of West Texas!! I miss those late night Texas nights. And the next morning, gonna cook some eggs over easy with thick cut bacon and homemade sausage and have me some good ole cowboy coffee!! Thanks for the bloopers and all. As I sit here sipping on this Birch Beer, I contemplated on your offer to give away Stargaser's new 12" skillet. What a wonderful way to get folks to talking... I have decided that the very first thing would be A WHOLE POUND of BACON - of course! WHY...? - Two reasons: 1) That is the proper baptismal method for a brand new Cast Iron skillet, and 2) I will need that whole batch (and a 12" skillet) to make my Mom's legendary One Pan - Spanish Rice recipe. The thing that gets everyones fancy with her recipe is how moist the rice has remained throughout the whole meal. (The secret is largely, in-part, to the bacon content!) I have not made Mom's Spanish Rice in years as it requires a 12" skillet or larger and I need a decent 12" Cast Iron skillet. Should I win the Stargazer skillet - I will share Mom's Spanish Rice recipe with Stargazer, Shannon, Kent & The Beag' for all to enjoy. Now let's talk Bacon Wrapped - Grilled Cheese Sandwiches...! ;-) That would be the 2nd thing I would cook in that wonderful piece of art!

Thank you Kent and Shannon for your videos. I would love to fry in the frypan my grandmother's bread. When I was growing up we were poor but my grandma used to make homemade bread which I do to this very day. I don't buy bread at the store anymore. But when she was making the bread she used to take a pinch of doe off and put it in the cast iron skillet and I used to but butter or peanut butter on it and it would melt the peanut butter and it would run down the sides. I thank God for letting me have that memory cause it was the only good one that I had growing up in my grandmother's home. Thank You for your recipes, they really bring a lot of memories back some good.

Those look great! I’ve never thought about putting the French onion dip in the mix. 😋 The first thing I’d cook in my skillet would have to be bacon or breakfast sausage! #StargazerCastIronSkillet 💕

Oh goodness my husband and I have been loving your channel! We found you a few months ago and we've been hooked ever since! I think if we won the Stargazer skillet, I'd have to go with the Beag on this and say we would have to grill up a beautiful reverse seared ribeye steak!! God bless you and your whole family!!

Cowboy Kent Rollins I love your recipes always but haven’t ever been able to get a cast iron skillet. It just makes everything better.

Kent, thanks for all you do! Finally bought your book and am glad to have it! First thing I would do with a new Stargazer is follow your instructions on proper seasoning and then I would make some chicken fry for an extra oil soak on the pan! It's a win win for the family and the new pan!

First thing I would cook, is pecan crusted trout with a maple drizzle. My daughter's love to fish, and its a lakeside favorite. Dredge trout in flour mixed with crushed pecans, saute in butter, 2 min each side, remove from pan add 3 tbs. Maple syrup and 2 tbs. Butter drizzle over trout. Enjoy
