Muchas gracias senora. I love tamarindo and started loving it years ago at my favorite restaurant in Detroit, Nuestra Familia. Here in Oaxaca I can get pre-shelled tamarind, How much should I use. Also can I sweeten it with stevia? Will it change the flavor much.

If you are in a rush, you can use frozen pulp or the seedless blocks found at H-Mart , Middle Eastern store, etc. The block is great to use for tea - 3 tablespoons of the tamarind paste, lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of puréed dates ( that also can be bought in these stores).

I love tamarindo, drank it all the time growing up. My hiccup remedy is to hold my breath for about 15 seconds (lets the diaphragm rest and stop spasming), works for me every time.

@@JennsCorner777 Texas lokita = a lil crazy in Texas.....lol That hack was popular in our 4th grade. everyone had hiccups at least 10 a week. Sister Josephine was the sweetest nun very fond memories. Glad I was able to help. .

Hi, I am wondering if the Tamarindo Agua Fresca tastes different when boiled vs soaking them for a few hours.

If you don't have access to tamarind pods, can you use the no-sugar added paste? I just had this drink for the first time today! And if like to add it in the mix for things I can drive when I want more than just plain water. I'll make mine sugar free tho.

You can get the seedless pulp WITHOUT the shells, the fiber & the seeds in ANY INDIAN GROCERY STORE, but it is the tart variety as we use that VERY REGULARLY, ALMOST DAILY, in our cooking. It will save you the step of shelling & cleaning after boiling.

1/2 to tsps sugar takes care of the hiccups it for me all the time!

Hiccups=enemy never can forget the moment when I had a presentation and out of no where hiccups just ruined the whole presentation. My professor said he'll give me a moment to "get my self together" 😂😂😂 that was so not the case my hiccups last through my 2 classes😂😂😂

To stop hiccups you take 7 big mouth open deep inhale breath and on the seventh one, you hold you breath as long as you can. It works! Diane

Love Tamarinds, the other day I found some sweet ones at Walmart...... so disappointing, I wanted them nice and tart!!!

Hold your breath for 30 seconds and the hiccups will go away. A pinch of salt in your tamarind juice will get rid of the acid in the drink that might upset your tummy.

that's lot to do the seed n viens, there's not much pulp

Hold your breath and swallow 3 or more times or as much as you can. Guaranteed to get rid of hiccups
