EASY REAR STEER Tutorial - How to Install in AXIAL SCX24 & ANY SCALE TRUCK
Recently I was asked to do a tutorial on installing rear steer into a 1/24 SCX24 1967 Chevrolet C10 4WD (Get one here: bit.ly/3jMgVE1) trail trucks. I chose to install it into my Jeep. We have been installing rear steer into models for years and recently stopped by a hobby store in Langford BC called "Afro's RC & Hobby" shop. Afro was the fella that owned the store and he showed off an SCX24 Chevy with rear steer. It was owned by Jordan, and employee of the store - and Jordan showed it off on the indoor trail course. SO COOL! Thank you Jordan and Afro. (www.afrorc.ca)
I hope this video will help all of my friends out there in the world of RC who needed to see how to install this kind of steering system into a hobby truck. This is the SAME MOD that can be done on ANY SCALE of electric scale truck that uses axles and servos.

Great! Now I have to get another front axle and servo.
You know I’m watching lol I’m a little unsure of going rear steer. Can’t rule it out though lol. I still have 2 more Rc’s coming in December. I’ll check the cost of all the parts and we’ll see what happens 👍 great tutorial by the way!

WOW, I bet the knowledge you did get in this video is from the years of doing what hobbies you love doing
You got me in to crawlers 5 years ago, I came across one of your videos of you and Gem out with SCX10’s while I was thinking about getting in to Rc drifting, I’ve never looked back since I got my first SCX10 all those years ago and now from watching all your 24th scale videos I now have my first 24th scale. You do a top job and it’s been a pleasure watching your videos over the past 5 years 😉👍🏻
I love how you walked us through the conversion. a little explanation goes a long way! Thank you 👍😁
Can’t wait for a test run on a trail
A T-harness that splits the steering output should give you full-time crab steering with the wheel.
After stumbling upon You Tube Gold, then seeing the TTC competitions I started looking into the hobby. I think mini crawlers are a good start for beginners. Ty RCSparks and the whole RC community for showing us how far and diverse the RC world has become.
this version of all-wheel steering is really cool, and in a small scale truck it is great........thumbs up👍👍
So cool , I knew after that Afro video that you would do it ! Thanks to you and your videos I am now into RC and have jumped into the hobby bringing my kids along with me . We watch your videos together and get ideas . So I just bought our 1st RC's I got myself the Axial SCC10 III and got both of my kids SCX24's . Thanks again ! Your friends in Boston
It's realy nice to see all of you mentioning each other and showing that respect . That realy is antes me to get I to the hobby " great bunch of rc people " it's a shared respect even when we don't agree on something lol . I love this hobby rc dude's

actually doing this with my betty as well as hot racing shocks, i found one thing that should be noted maybe as a pinned comment, if you are using the stock receiver you will need an extension cable to reach from the back to the front as the stock cable is too short to reach all the way, also with the betty and the deadbolt youll need a different rear mount for the body, because the full plate on them is in the way of full flex with the servo
Thanks Medic! That modification looks awesome! 👍😁
Always great on your channel to learn new tips and tricks thank you

I can't wait till it's your turn and afro gets to come to the RC spark studio! I really enjoyed your time with him was very cool 👍👍👍
I made a bunch of parts for my scx24 to get a Revell 76 chevy body onto it with a full interior. People put a ton of time into these little trucks and it's always cool to see what else can be done with this platform.
Hope you're enjoying yourself on our lovely rocky trail truck heaven of an island.
Goo to see you moving around wishing the best of health to you and the family and friends. Great content.
Definitely interested in the 1/24th scale..those axial are a must buy 👍
Thank you Medic! You are the man! Much appreciated information 👍🏻👍🏻
Although I have been watching your videos off and on for some time I finally pulled the trigger and bought an RC. Just two weeks before having spinal fusion surgery. I haven't even got the thing dirty yet. I ended up getting an Axial Wraith Spawn knowing there are possibly better rigs available but I've wanted one since I first saw your first few videos on it when you first got it. Yes I've been putting it off for that long😲. Life, ya know. Besides, it fit the budget and the local hobby store had one in the shelf. So as I sit at home recovering from surgery, I've been binge watching about RC trail trucks and crawlers and one thing I keep thinking about is rear steer because, let's face it, the turning radius of the Spawn sucks. This little video has taken some of the mystery out of the process for me. Thank you. Also, glad to see your health improving (been keeping up on that as well, I certainly can relate) keep up the good work.

@@poppygoatshomestead all finished with the rear steer and it's super awesome! Did it a bit differently and realized cutting the chassis to shorten the body was useless as the steering linkage now hits first. If you want to see it check it my Instagram. @vorgto
I have GOT to do this just as soon as I get my metal Hot Racing Steering Linkage. I've got an extra plastic front axle case and set of stock front axles from swapping out for the +4 offset axles and for the metal axles front and rear. I even have two extra Emax servos, the metal servo mount and still kept the stock servo mount; April 23rd I'm GONNA DO THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I cannot wait. So I'll get the +4 offset axles at rear and the stock axles at front, Sawwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

I'm a bit baffled at the fact there's like 17 different motor mounts for all kinds of different motors for it including the double motor mount dude used to make the Dig rig but NOT ONE PERSON has made a fricken DIG unit that fits this? They got em for the Scx10 it CAN'T BE THAT HARD sizing Down an existing product compared to DESIGNING THEM FROM SCRATCH which has been done on shapeways with EVERYTHING for these so WhatDaDillyYo?! 🤷🤦😞😞😞

I done this on my 1:10 Rc when I was a complete novice, instead of plugging my rear steering servo into the aux, I just hooked up the wires the the front servo wires and boom you have proportional steering, downside to this method is that you can’t turn off 4ws.
