I haven’t opened my new Shopify store yet, but if I deal with Pillow Profits only, I would make all my shipping costs free for the customer. But some of the other POD suppliers charge a lot for international shipments of certain products. One was charging almost the price of the item itself, just to ship to Canada. For me, I would charge shipping on everything, if I am charged. Your strategy that you outlined makes a lot of sense.

Amazon really hurt the business side of the industry by offering free shipping. It has a psychological effect on the customer when they see a shipping fee instead of free shipping. I think it is only fair for small & medium size businesses that do not have their own logistics (planes, delivery vans, etc) to charge for shipping. It ofcourse could be a split between customer & business like you said. Instead of charging 8$ how about 4.95$. That's fair.

Don’t judge me I use 5 different POD shops in my Shopify store and let me tell you it’s a nightmare so if you are using more than 2 POD companies it can REALLY get sticky but I usually charge the customer 2.99 for t shirts and hoodies and shipping that’s over ten dollars I charge them 7.99

Thank you for this Joe! Although I am still a bit confused in 2024🤦🏾‍♂️. I set up Printify to my Shopify and it shows Printify as a connected app in Shipping setting. What I'm wondering is, if I set up a general profile to offer free shipping after a certain amount spent, does it still connect to the POD company on Printify? How can I be sure the item will still be printed by the chosen POD company and get sent to the customer with no issue?

Always use "Free Shipping" but we display it as "this Month Only" however, we started offering an expedited upgrade for 19.99 and people have upgraded with at least 75% of the purchases made.

Thanks for this video!!! I have a question though. In my shop I have Hoodies Tees Tanks and long sleeves. I use printify to fulfill my orders and have different vendors for each product. How would I go about charging shipping? The way I have it set up is $4 shipping charges for the US (Because that's the lowest shipping charge on my products) if a customer buys 1 T shirt and 1 tank top and then only pay $4 for shipping I am getting charged double on printifys end as it's one charge for the shirt and the other for the tank top. How would I go about charging shipping for situations like this? Is there some sort of option I can do to charge like $4 shipping for 1 item and have it change to $7 shipping for 2 and like $10 for shipping when they want to buy 3 etc

Hey, seems like we have the same question.. yours was alot earlier.. did you figure it out... I had the same idea as you... Just different prices. Because as you stated the quantity is what affects our shipping charges from our print provider.. this is holding me back.. lol.. what rates or strategy has been working for you..?? Please share.. if our idea is the only Best option or Did you find another route.. Thank YOU.. I hope you been making money. I guess I'm stuck without knowing do I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING FIRST, OR does printify do it out of the payment they received..

@@spool0209 hello! I learned that it was unavoidable with different providers. So I just went to one provider for my apparel and one for mugs.. I DIDN'T MASTER the shipping...lol. Because I am technically challenged 🤣🤣 and I tried several ways to get them to add up but it seems like shipping is where you lose a LITTLE or up your pricing to cover it... I guess that's why so many have free shipping to eliminate the hassle and the extra money charged to the customer.. Not much luck with shop. Family hardships. But I'm back going in on the back end and adding more designs to get samples for newer marketing.. I never meant to outsource.. it's just a pivot for me.. so not giving up... 😁 But shipping almost took me out!! I think it's another reason I got overwhelmed.... Mentally if you prepare to lose a bit #1.. you will be fine. If you up your pricing to cover You... You should be fine#2. Now if you can not worry about the shipping cost to your customer... You will be fine#3. 😁 Clearly I am not fine!!😂😂😂 Good luck.. let me know what you come up with.. 😁
