Thank You. Love this. I tried the single peony before and it didn’t turn out very well. I feel ready to try again. Flowers for me have not come easy. I’m 71 and started painting about 2 yrs ago. Thank You for your encouragement.

I love the way you explain art and the terms you share. I just finished Summer 2 session at college and took Art Appreciation online. We had a foreshortening art activity for one of our projects. I heard you say the term when laying down the front petals on the peony in the background. I’ve also had the experience of taking a photo (with my phone) of the High Tide painting I did and totally get what you mean when you say to step away or take a photo of a painting to truly “see” it 😊 thank you for all you do to make me a better artist!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm 49 and new to painting. I decided to use acrylic paints to learn. So far I have painted 1 9x12 cotton canvas...I did ok with the background colors but my tree came out pretty bad..my 10 yr old granddaughter said its awesome (lol) .Your videos are very informative and easy to follow..thanks. oh and you got yourself a new sub (student) 👍

John, you're killing me with laughter! I know you're there with her cameras, and all of her technology that she needs, but it's like you're staring at the canvas, because every time she says, "Did you guys see that?" Or, "Did you guys see how I did that?" I am very grateful that you answer for all of us, because I want to say, "Yes, I can see that!" But, I can't tell her. You have always got my back, because you answer for all of us every time you answer her and say, "Yeah!" ao excitedly, as if you'd seen it for the first time, you're excited about what she did! It's so funny. I'm sorry, maybe I just have the giggles tonight but you've had me rolling! Don't you paint? Keep it up, dear, because you make it entertaining! Not that she doesn't, because she does, but you two guys are like an Oreo cookie, and that each of you may be different, but you compliment each other very well! Maybe I didn't give a very good example, but you get what I'm saying, right? John, did you say "Yeah"? Lol I probably guessed it correctly that the two of you never argue!

I struggled with freer strokes but I think that's reflective of a perfectionist trait I've had since childhood ....I'm working on it ☺ How do you get the wishes for underneath your paintings ... Hello ! I so enjoy watching your tutorials . I am a beginner with acrylics . I am only able to get apple barrel paints , at this time where I live . I cannot for the life of me find any conversion charts for delta ceramcoat and folk art paints . Any suggestions ? Thanks for all the great tutorials . My Dad was an oil painter and I’d love to try that , but for now it’s acrylics . Enjoy your day! 🌈

Look at the pigment codes on them. I am not sure if there is a chart or not. I would contact them and ask if they have anything that will help. 🌷

I suffer from severe depression, I hope this helps. You come highly recommend. My journey begins,... now I guess , wish me luck
