Can you do a video on defensive shading?

Played a guy earlier who was bombing my cover 3 coverage and had to adjust my coverage to win a close game. You breaking it all down in this fashion helps me understand exactly what was happening since I don't record my games. Thanks a lot, very helpful

The best way to beat consistently cover 3 IMO is to do what they do in real life; spread the field and hit seams with vertical concepts Also can’t you defend this by putting your corners in deep halves

Lifelong Chiefs fan and over 20 years of playing Madden. Not my favorite, which for me is 05 but man the offense I get to play with this year is stupid fun.

I feel like corners with more awareness shouldn’t be biting the corner route but hey it’s madden. cover 3 and 4 are easyer to beat this year it’s why people are overreacting saying run man or bust and mans OP. (and also man got I big buff of course)

It would have been better to say the all deep zone CBs A.I. is coded to cloud cover unless a WR breaks the (invisible)Yard Marker Line, as with this play,its a broken Code Not Play, if the ball would have been thrown BEFORE RB touched the 50yard MARKER on the deep out, the CB would have pinched the WR with the Safety, but AS SOON AS RB HITS THE NUMBERS (2:35)THE CB IS #CODED TO Immediately SHADOW RB, this is why it doesnt work to the weak side, RB breaks the invisible line to soon and the Safety A.I. is Coded to man up the deepest Route and the CB is Coded to middle Zone and since the Codes are initiated before the deep threat has broken deep contain, it wont work, in real life it would be played that way regardless of hash mark snap, or route. ITS NOT CHEESY ITS JUST NOT FOOTBALL... I wouldn't feel bad nobody else will

Finally a play that can beat cover 3 my friend runs cover 3 every down against me and now I have a play thanks to u that will beat it.

PA comebacks vs cover 2 is a 1 play TD if u put ur fastest WR on the inside post

Playbook GG imo has better content than me. I know they have another 4 gameplans dropping within a week or 2, some from actual professional players, so you'll probably learn some crazy stuff very soon.

In solo challenges on hard this play is useles. Cpu follows perfectly and punches the ball always out of your hands. Doesnt matter if you use 89 odel beckham or like 81 holt (mine is still 81)

No it is broken the deep third corner on the right should be looking inside and follow the seam he has no business jumping on the corner route that’s the curl flats responsibility for the drag and corner

Hey man! Wanted to know if you could do this. I think this could help the devs and the community coming from you. I remember listening to you on a podcast with gut Foxx not long ago and talking about zones in madden and how they play. I wanted to know if you’re able today possibly go back into madden 18 and show how ideally we’d like zones to play. Obviously not being mind readers in zone but the concept of how zones should be played to where a cloud plays like a cloud should or putting a corner in a quarter zone and playing the proper routes they’re suppose to play. The state of madden has been rough for 2 yrs when dealing with zones in the game. Granted I’ve always been a top 5 to 10 player in leaderboards in MUT but doesn’t excuse the state the game keeps going. Would really appreciate it if you’re able to do this not only for me but a lot of us who just want to get away from the game as a whole

I think madden 18 was as close to ideal of zones that we ever got to playing good zones and you said so yourself in that podcast. Again, not the mind reading part of it but at least knowing if a player in throwing a corner route, the cloud should lock that because that’s initially what it should do.

Hey Eric I am a long time gamer of Madden. I have been using the Playbook alternate balanced since 2014 probably. I have been very successful with it and all of their previous series of Madden. I run a series of 10 different place probably and I have all my audible switch to different formations that I'm comfortable with. For whatever reason this year my playbook hasn't been very successful I don't know if the update today games have changed I was wondering if you can look into this for me and maybe find out what were made of those changes

How do you make it to where you throw the ball to the right? Example: Instead of Throwing straight down the middle, you threw it to the right a little bit.

Just push left stick in direction of where you want the ball to go

Can u have them implement the challenge play ... What's it on there if u never can use it

I have LT MACK and Von any way I can blitz all 3 like have LT and Von outside and have Mack and Myles as my DTs or no

Can I do that with charger because I founded the gun bunch and try to do that against cover 3 but I isn't a success for me :/

Great vid but if playing against a real good player will put there corners in deep halves or man up the streak route.

Your analysis of the curl flat is incorrect. The main responsibility of the curl flat is to protect against deep routes first and if there is no deep route THEN rally down to any short routes. To prove this point, EA even says this in their zone coverage break down in the gridiron notes. If the Cloud flat would work correctly the cover 3 corner would not have to bite down on an out breaking route. The cover 3 corner first responsibility is to protect anything overtop and then rally to any deep out breaking routes.

How, I showed exactly why it's realistic. It's a numbers game. Also, I showed how to stop it. Did you miss that part?

Much respect Eric and I love what you do but this really doesn't work? I've tried this to an exact science on (normal) challenges, I repeat, "normal", just doesnt work. I also know for a fact that there's a community of online Madden players that have found ways to manipulate online play and not in a positive manner. It's become a joke. Really sad. There's a ton of supposed to be really good players, even ones with YT channels that manipulate/cheat, claim to be best and so on. Not a good look but that's madden for ya. Thanks for all you do though. Btw. What's the point of running the right plays and or coverages with a lockdown secondary with the same exact speed as the receivers or faster with the exception of Tory Holt and you can still be bombed over the top. Cant speak for anyone else but my AI sucks horribly bad and more moreso when my coverages couldn't be more right. Sad to say the least. PU 90 mel Blount, 89 mel renfro, PU 88 JALEN RAMSEY WITH X FACTOR. BURNED ON THE REGULAR by whoever. It's so laughable. I played football at a high level and know the game very well, a lot of things these supposed beast do online is completely ridiculous. I know it's a video game, I'm 39, been playing since the original title, but the stuff I see on line makes madden trash. Sad
