She has been shown that it’s a safe space, and matched with the encouragement it is going to help with how it’s taken. Often times people struggle to take constructive criticism because they view it as a personal attack (they tend to feel insecure and tie it with someone telling them they as a person is not good enough). It tends to be connected to someone who has been invalidated in life and ”loved” conditionally, so when someone says they can change things to have a better outcome then it hits at their vulnerability and shame. Two things that can make these types of people shut down the conversation or go for an attack. But this sweet child is not shamed or being attacked here and she is aware it is a safe space, and she sounds very emotionally mature if you listen to how she spoke about her being bullied and her view on herself (you can tell she has adults who has spoken to her about this struggle of being bullied, that it’s not her responsibility to carry etc). It makes me happy for her, because kids especially who are bullied need spaces where they can grow and be validated without toxic narratives💛

6:48 I love when Cheryl assures her that she’s not doing anything wrong that her voice is just tired …. as a singer it’s frustrating when you’re trying to hit a note or sing a song that you can normally sing well but the voice is different from other instruments and it gets tired but that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with vocal technique…. I love these videos because it really shows a realistic perspective of the challenges of singing and the beauty of the human voice

I'm not saying the vocal coach was being offensive - she was pointing out perceived mistakes and, as an amazing vocal coach, making things, in my perceived opinion, better. Gosh. People nowadays are just desperately looking for reasons to be offended. Or just attention.

I've been singing since I could speak, but when I was around ten I started to feel so much pressure to be perfect and every little mistake made me feel terrible. I'm sixteen now, recovering from burnout and anxiety, and I'm trying to find what I loved so much in music. Your videos are always just what I need when I feel like I'm gonna break.

I would literally give and do anything to go back in time ad have her coach me. I'm self taught and pretty good. This beautiful genius of a woman, I feel, could polish gold from sand. Amazing, every single time.

She’s such a sweetheart and an amazing young girl!! She’s gonna touch a lot of lives!

She doesn't just teach her students, she treats them like her own children.❤🥺

ik I love how at the end of whatever they’re going thru at home or school they can come to her like she’s their auntie & just sing & laugh while trying try to improve their talents

Being comfortable with her coach allows her to develop a rapport that allows her to keep correcting them and they don't see it as wrong, but as her making it better. Having that and the talents of course makes her the phenomenal coach that she is.

These people are a different bread than I am... My whole life I've struggle through depression. For me being happy is not something easy. Laughing and having emotionally loaded interactions is something that has a very narrow spectrum for me. I've never been friend with a person like this coach. She is an angel! She spreads so much love and joy! Bless you both!

I am addicted to watching this amazing lady teach. She either turns out amazing singers or she only takes students who are amazing, because these kids are AMAZING!

Isabella’s singing is soo good, especially whilst singing this song 🎵🎤

I’m at a lost for words I don’t think she knows how far she’s going in life. I feel the power in her voice and I can see the passion in her eyes when she’s singing. Babygirl keep up the good work and don’t let the bullies get to you , they can see you going far in life and just wanna break you down keep your head high and keep being your beautiful self.❤️❤️❤️

I love how kind and loving you are as a coach (and you sure can sing!!) I am also so proud of Isabella. She is super talented and doesn't have a conceited bone in her body. Keep it up girl! Those kids who bully you are either jealous of you and/or they have troubles in their own hearts. Pray for them and keep being wonderful!!

I go to school with Bella and she is one of my favorite people. She is so sweet and kind and has one of the most beautiful voices ever. She is loved by so many and I love her so much. I hope next school year she has a better time. Im so lucky to know such a talented girl. I cant wait to see you again soon.
