Learn how to quickly make lot of simple books for 1:24, 1:16, or 1:12 scale.
The file I got from Etsy cost $2.50. It's 1:24 scale, but the size works well for 1:12 since most 1:12 books are too big.
The finished books are 3/8" wide by 1/2" tall. In half scale (1:24), that's the equivalent of a book that's 12 inches tall and 9" wide. That's a pretty big book, but it still looks in scale for a half scale project. The slightly larger books take up more room, so you can make less of them and it's easier than trying to make even smaller books
In 1:12 scale, the size is the equivalent of a 6 inch tall book that's 4.5 inches wide.

These items would work well in 1:16 or 1:24 as well to fit your Lundby, Scandinavian Families, & R Bliss dollhouses.

Some of my favorite things:
Miter Shears- these are the clippers I use to cut pieces of wood and toothpicks etc
amzn.to/3sQJnhe
Oyu Pla/Oyumaru reusable mold putty
amzn.to/44KaaJz
Cheaper clear mold putty I haven't tried
amzn.to/45JiAlB
2 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
amzn.to/3zmMLR1
8 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
amzn.to/3zpiMbm
Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.

Craft heat gun that doesn't get as hot as mine

Paper fasteners & 1/8" hole punch

I'm addicted to mini books. I make mine using a catalog and slicing down the spine for whatever size I want. I then cover it with dollar tree adhesive vinyl. Once they're all cut to my liking I can use a pen etc and make Mark's on the spine. To give character, I also will use a design from a magazine to put on the front. I also use magazines the same way to make mini mags. No cover needed. Thanks for showing your way. They're just so cute.

I clicked on the link to these 1/2 scale books from Etsy while I was watching this video, but I couldn't find my way back to the video again straight away, so I ended up making some of these books according to the instructions that came with the download. Unfortunately, they didn't turn out very well as the folded paper strips were too wide for the book covers so I had to trim them to fit. Luckily I found your video again and I'm going to make the rest of the books using your method which is much better. Thanks for this great tutorial. I'm making a Book Nook which is going to be a Victorian style miniature library, so I need lots of vintage books. Cheers from Amanda in Australia

@@queencityminis ok thanks for answering! I did find one on Amazon. It’s a box of 100 for about 10 dollars. They’re about .375” around. I’m going to try using a Copic marker to tint them and also tone down the brightness. If that doesn’t work, I might try wrapping some lightweight fabric around instead. They don’t get hot, so it should be safe. “Aogist 100 pieces white LED balloon lights” would be the search. They are really pretty bright! Enough so that I put some in the kitchen drawer in case of a blackout. Lols, I just noticed they come in different colors, too, plus warm white. Looks like I bought the plain white ones. The other color options are 16.99 Have a great day! ❤️🙏🏼🌷
