Is speed important in this class of machines when printing is limited to about 8ml per hour when quality is acceptable?

I'm loving my M5C so far. The speed and the print quality are amazing - although you do sacrifice a little bit of quality to get the highest speeds, I have found that even printing at AnkerMake's "Normal" speed of 250mm\sec gives me excellent results in much less time. The 25-minute Benchy I printed looks better than the 90-minute Benchy from my Ender-3 Max Neo. At first the lack of a display and controller worried me, too, but I repurposed an old Android phone and never looked back. And with so many people switching to Klipper right now, losing the onboard control shouldn't be that big a deal. (Makes me laugh to see so many reviewers who just told all their viewers to switch to Klipper so they can control everything from a browser or an app complain about the lack of a screen on the M5C.) And the button is proving to be very useful right now as I'm chain printing a bunch of stocking stuffers for Christmas. Print, clear the bed, and double tap the button to print another copy. I do hope they add webcam monitoring to the app or make it possible to monitor and control the printer from a web browser - or someone makes it work with Octoprint - but the M5C is the first printer I've ever had that just works beautifully out of the box. I'd much rather pay $400 for this than $200 for an Ender-3.

Eric here: Excellent post! I agree as well about the price, assuming you have it. Most newbies will just see the price and move on, especially with the new Ender 3 v3. Chain printing! Love it!

4:13 Well... let's be honest: this Benchy's quality is far from "amazing"... Lots of ghosting, it is quite irregular and it didn't have enough cooling on the hull's tip. It is possible to get an EXCELLENT benchy in 1 hour with the 0.4 nozzle. The M5C is amazing - I am also printing with it, but the community will need to work the profiles some more to get actual quality. The printer is solid, though - and fast, no dispute there.

This is a sales pitch, not a review. After watching this video as someone who knows a thing or two about printing, this is nothing but painful proprietary "good" printer that won't have supports, repairs, or even software in a few years. When the ship sinks, this is one of the first printer to go down. App dependant printers are always a nightmare - avoid at all costs.

That's a huge mistake. They couldn't even fix what's wrong with the M5...like the non-working AI.

Too much of a sales pitch. Extreme ghosting in the benchy. Quality definitely not amazing.
