For anyone still bumping into this - top left loader is Fry Egg, and has a separate conveyor rail to the top chute. top right loader is Gulp Egg and Tropical Fry Egg, and has a separate conveyor to the bottom chute. bottom loader (in the water) is Egg Shell, Polluted Dirt, and Pacu Fillet, and has a separate conveyor to where your storage is. Run an automation wire from the critter detector to the bunker door (or the double airlock, if you prefer). That should get you where you're going.

Thanks so much, Echo's videos have a bad habit of not always showing shipping, automation, or power layers. For a newbie like me this is a huge pain.

6:20 - starts on Pacu. Prior to this is about the base and other stuff going on. If you're looking just for the title card info, skip to 6:20 [No offense, but when I have limited time available, I appreciate when someone points out where what I came for actually starts]

Really enjoy all these tutorials implementing all as we speak. A stand alone for the industrial and kitchen with cooling would be cool.

I second the request for a standalone covering the food deep freeze and the industrial sauna!

if there is a way to keep the eggs safe, the tropical pacu would easily serve as a way to combine a breeder tank with geysers due to their high 100 C tolerance.

I did a play-test starting with 24 wild pacu with 12 incubators and using your 8 tile room trick with 1 tile of water. After a couple hundred cycles I have 3 left.

Did you leave eggs in your 1 tile of water? Pacu won't reproduce if cramped with eggs laying around. Also was your water within the livable range of the pacu?

Loving your videos. I've made it farther than I ever had before by trying to play along. I'm not quite caught up to where you are though. I think I need to install the wallpaper mod as your base is just so much prettier than mine Really useful breakdown of ranching pacu. I would love to see you make a zoo/park base with the various creatures in their own habitats.

Simple and elegant solution. I have tried making pakufarms a few times but they always fail and need maintenance.

Those dupes that are standing around and not using rec rooms are likely still on working hours without anything to do, typically labels them as idle.

For me feeding with seeds didn't work, because the pacus ate seeds only very rarely from the feeder thus they got the "ate from feeder" buff only in every 4-5 cycles - practically they died faster by age before they got tamed and started to lay eggs quickly. So now I'm feeding it with algae and it is working fine. Wonder if it is because some change in the game since the video was created....

Try feeding them with algae to get them tame and then switch to seeds.

@@EchoRidgeGaming I switched back to algae full time. Pacus age is different, and some of them infant, some of them old.... one of tme still need algae, the othe could go with seeeds, and they just live for 25 cycles so have to rstart feeding them with algae....

Sitting here with three wild adults at 19+ age and still 20+ wild!!! Luckily one of them tamed to fill the egg chamber before he died. One batch just sat in the corner of the tank and ignored the feeder so I moved the ladder, that fixed it but why!

My pacus won't eat from the feeder - Do you have any tips?

How do you collect the egg shells from the two egg breeder drop off chutes? The auto-sweeper can't reach them... a dup can reach the bottom one, but not the top one...

It looks like the eggshells fall down automatically and can then be picked up by the auto-sweeper.

I love this series!

Any reason to have Pwater in the tank? Wouldn't water save you from having to filter out the Gulp?

I was always hesitant about making apartments where each dupe has their own shower, toilet and sink because of the way dupes go to the restroom before eating and I never seen anyone show how to alter the order they do those things. Is this a problem for you? How did you fix it?

Your dupes should use the bathrooms based on the schedule. Which in our case is when they wake up. They eat at the end of their day, during their downtime, before bed.

@@EchoRidgeGaming - My experience and that of others with the same problem is that the bathroom schedule is meaningless - dupes usually go to restroom first on their break schedule and never use it just after getting out of bed even when scheduled to, which happens to be the default schedule. Haven't seen a way to control it, because the schedule doesn't.

🔵x1, 🟡x16, 🟢x4, 🟣x3 That's a good place to start, and you can begin the schedule at different times of day to create multiple shifts, which allow your dupes to not have to wait in line to use the bathroom and possibly pee themselves. I have 20 dupes using 5 lavatories over 4 shifts. You can add downtime later when commutes are long. Early on you can get away with a schedule that looks more like 🔵x1, 🟡x20, 🟢x1, 🟣x2.

Doubt you'll read this, but I tried this out myself, why do the egg shells go to the left tile when they hatch, mine don't do that, the egg shells stay in the tile they hatch in

i thought they made it so you cant pull food from a corner tile from the 1 block food storage setup we all used to use.

Use two different conveyer systems. One for standard fry eggs and one for the rest.
