    I've recently come to realise I had mild right sided hip bursitis for years - it used to just be pain for a few minutes when getting out of the car on long journeys and getting up out of a low chair. This year it went on to include pain on walking and a lot of pain when lying on the right side at night. I had a cortisone shot into the bursa which completely resolved the night-time and sit to stand pain but I still can't walk any distance without it hurting which is a real nuisance. I'll have a go at your exercises.

    A very well presented video. I recently followed a well known advisory one which favoured the leg crossing and stretching exercises and found they brought on some of the worst pain I have had to date and even with strong pain killer the relief was only partial. I am looking forward to these exercises as for one, they do not cause pain while doing like many others do.

    When I had an ultrasound guided cortisone shot for bursitis recently they reported some minor glute med issue also. I'm wondering if this is why I'm still having pain when walking when the sit to stand and night pain has resolved quickly.

  • @FeelGoodLife

    @FeelGoodLife

    Hey essanjay8604, that could definitely be a factor. Minor glute med issues might be contributing to your walking pain. It’s a good idea to discuss this with your healthcare provider for a more tailored approach. Hope you find relief soon!

    Thanks for doing this video! I have 2 questions: 1) does a person do these exercises while their hip is still hurting? 2) does walking help the hip also or hinder it more when you still have discomfort in it?

  • @FeelGoodLife

    @FeelGoodLife

    11 ай бұрын

    You're welcome, @hb4299! To answer your questions, if your hip hurts a lot after the exercises, I encourage you to back off. Maybe start with the bare minimum. Obviously, I don't know your specific condition so it's hard to recommend specifics but in general, I normally encourage people to ease into the exercises gradually if they experience pain with the program. With regards to your second question, walking can be a beneficial activity for many people, but whether it helps or hinders your hip pain depends on the underlying cause and your individual condition. In some cases, gentle, short walks can help improve blood circulation and maintain mobility without aggravating the hip. However, if walking exacerbates your discomfort, it may be best to avoid it temporarily and focus on rest and pain management techniques recommended by your healthcare provider. Sorry but you pronounce the word, but-ton not but-un! Why in the world do people not pronounce t’s or d’s anymore. We were not taught in school to be lazy and decide to leave a letter out of a word. When you write the same words do you leave letters out?! 🤔 It’s everywhere nowadays even the news people are doing it. I for one will always pronounce words as they are spelled. With every syllable in them. I do not follow new generations way with grammar! My own opinion, it’s not just you, it’s everywhere!!! 😢
