I would love to see a pic of your mom in law with this cut! Also I am 68 & used to long hair. Have fine thinning blonde greying hair . Never can wear these short cuts because I have larger ears , long neck, thin hair on neck area , heart shaped face that is longer. I just keep wearing it long with fringe & beachy or a bob. So afraid to try a cut like this…😬

Love it! My favorite cut of all time. This is the iconic 80’s Meg Ryan cut by Sally Hershberger, a slightly different version, but wow you really nailed it 👏👏 a huge trend setter in the 80’s. Today I think they call it The Bixie which made its way back during pandemic. I’ve had several stylists try it on me but always have trouble getting the bulk out because I have thick hair, I always end up thinning it out myself. So I appreciate how you cut the sides and for demonstrating more bang cuts!! Thank you. You’re an amazing stylist Summer 🙌

Looove the hair cut😍😍😍 I'm not even a hair stylist but love watching tutorials so I can learn the anatomy of a hair cut and I can communicate with my hair stylist better. I appreciate you explaining every step and reasoning behind and specially the "tucker" solution! That is exactly what I need to explain to the stylist importance of minimizing the bulk without creating a weird gap and being able to tuck at the same time! Wish every stylist watches this video!!! I love this length because you can play with the longer layered top and shorter length at the nape creates a fun dimensional silhouette from the side profile. This would've looked so cute with a live model for sure💕 Thank you so much for sharing🥰

I absolutely adore the heavily layered look. This is the cut I’ve been searching for that works so well for my thick hair.

It’s incredible how much easier it looks to cut straight hair that doesn’t curl up as you are cutting it.

This video has been so helpful for me in getting more confident with my short cuts

Hi Summer! This is such an adorable cut. Wish I could pull off this shorter style. I’m older but short hair doesn’t flatter my face, unfortunately. I prefer mine around shoulder length with layers & some face framing…just wish the stylists would cut into the layers the correct way to create more fullness and movement like you do. You take the time to create beautiful cuts and your attention to detail is impeccable. 💗

Hey Summer! I really love all of your haircuts, they’re feminine and love the movement. I would love to ask for a haircut reminiscent of any of your cuts! I have very soft, fine curly hair that’s not shoulder length , straighter in winter and will show all of your channel to a stylist for a long awaited haircut soon and will update soon for other women who find themselves in the same boat. Beautiful cut. I have a soft wave in my hair and I want the layers to create volume as my hair is rather fine. It will give me a more youthful appearance as I am over 50 and don't subscribe to the pixie over 50 look for me. I am a retired hairdresser so I am going to attempt to do the cut on myself later today. Thank you so much for the tutorial.

I do the back and forth check on myself whenever I get my hair cut. It's never correct. I like the attention you've given to the tuck. Ive always gotten short layered cuts and nobody has ever paid attention to the way i wear it.

I will use my fingers to work the hair in an upward direction as well as using a smaller round brush as well.

I really like Olaplex 4P. It gives a good tone but is not super drying. My favorite one to color deposit is Moroccan Oils. It's awesome for toning out yellow but it is extremely drying.

I would say you want shorter and more textured in the back than a bob, that you have the option to flip out some with the blow dry. Cutting around the ears some, but not fully over where you can still tuck. You can always pull up the video and show her what it looks like after the fact.

Is this haircut similar to Princess Diana's hair style???

Looks like a "bixie." Sadly, no stylists in my area know what this cut is or how to do it. They want to give you the same Old lady cut cuz it's easier for THEM.
