@@gofigure4920 Daikon radish taste, in general, could be described as sweet, crisp, and less peppery compare to radishes. Sure thing! I have tried this with Air Fryer & It works great as well! The daikon fries are a little sweet and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The color is darker compared to the deep-fried version. ^_^
That look amazing . Well done!
thank you so much. what a wonderfu;;y tasty recipe
Learn something new today, did not realized you can cook daikon radish this way. Looks yummy!

GOLDEN FRIES DAIKON. DALACIOUS ...mmmMMM..!!! 😋😋😋
there are a lot of carbs in that 2 cups of flour
It was low carb until you dumped them into a starch....lol

You're barely.getting any carbs if they are dusted with it. Arrowroot powder may work better. Still has carbs but a little goes a long way and won't mess up your macros.

@@EmmeFen 2 cups of flour is not dusting, that is flat out breading and its like 200 carbs and that is before the radish which also has carbs. Arrowroot would not crisp.
Of course! Duh! That's why I love daikon bc it reminds me of potato without the carbs. Whe didnt I think of this. Thank you for sharing this.

Coconut flour ^^,)
Will this work if you don't dredge them in the flour? Thanks for sharing your experience!
2 cups of flour would NOT be low carb, not even close. That is like 200 grams of carbs just for the flour
Where do you find Daikon radishes??? I only see the round purple ones at my local grocery store.

First off, thank you so much for checking out my videos & taking the time to post comments. I really appreciate it! ^_^ I normally can find Daikon Radishes at Asian supermarkets(Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Filipino) in my area. If you are not sure you can also use instacart. Enter or select "Daikon Radish", then click on Browse stores in your area to give you some ideas for availability. Hope this helps!

I get mine from Hmart. Another Asian market/store would have them and some fruit & vegetable markets too. I'm trying to master kkakdugi.
Can I use almond flour instead?

Not sure, I have not tried using almond flour for this recipe myself. I have used almond flour for baking muffins, cake & bread. Sorry, I could not help, but still appreciate you taking the time to post your question here. ^_^

What did you use to cover the daikon radish maam..?
How does it taste compare to french fries
@tastyrefuge9049
2 жыл бұрын
It taste quite different compare to french fries. It's kind of like radish but milder in flavor and less peppery.. It's not as mushy as baked apple, nor as smooth as mashed potato, but still very soft. It's hard to describe the taste to be honest.
Looks so delicious but that is not low carb unfortunately cuz there is flour being use.

It's still low carb. Low carb does not mean no carb.
why should we eat right away?
@tastyrefuge9049
3 жыл бұрын
That's because daikon radish has a much higher moisture content compared to potatoes. It's best to serve it right away or you can use a thicker batter. Thanks for asking!

..i mean, all fries must be eaten right away, that's the law, or they go stiff again
does the peppery smell go away?
@tastyrefuge9049

The daikon radish has a mild peppery note similar to radishes if you try to eat it as is. But once it is cooked, it is very sweet & tender. Thanks for checking out my videos! ^_^
Can’t use regular flour….that’s totally not KETO
About how many carbs does it have??
@tastyrefuge9049
3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the size of the daikon that you are using. If I were to try to generalized for reference purposes, the daikon I used(~1.5lbs) & the 2 cups of flour used, which only 5%-10% are sticking to the daikon radishes. We are looking at roughly between 100 - 150 grams of carbs. Thanks for checking out my videos & sharing your thoughts here in the comments. ^_^
