Arnott aftermarket airsprings are the way to go. Spray the bladders with silicone oil and they will last forever.

Take airbag out insert "slime" pump up and repaired!!! Just like a tire.

Good video, I just finished replacing my air springs in my x5, there was one thing that you did differently that I would have done had I seen your video first, I would have left the existing fitting on the tubes rather than replacing them with the new ones. This took a bunch of time and created stress and was completely unnecessary. I totally struggled getting the old spring out, and getting the new one back in was a pain. I also used my jack to lift the suspension the key hole. Unfortunately, the problem seems to be the compressor solenoid because I am still a low rider. My reason for believing this is both sides are low and they seem to have failed at the same time. I am about to test that theory tomorrow.

Nice video I am wondering is it have to release all the air from the blue and red hoses first? Can I just replace the air bags? Thx

Your bag will be inflated, you will have top and bottom pressure on the airbag.. Therefore virtually impossible to remove, If your airbags have deflated both sides just remove the negative terminal on the battery and put a rubber glove over it. Then start this procedure. Great video BTW.

I simply filled the bag with air by starting the engine

Push down on the control arm it will give you more of a gap to get it in

Good video!! appreciated, but cannot help but think, the airbad was completely deflated, there was zero pressure there, amd just cracking the air fitting in itself at the bag, would have been enough to deflate the bag if any air was remaining. I think getting access to the compressor was unnecessary?

Releasing air near the bag will cause a cloud of break dust and that’s not good for the lungs
