Easy DIY Wood Bookmarks
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is just a quick little video I do showing how I've made bookmarks in the past for my friends and family members. It's a great way to use up scrap wood that you just can't bring yourself to throw away. If you're going to make one, you might as well make a few and give the others away.

I love the leather that you added at the ends! I also liked how all the bookmarks had a different wood style!

Thank you!
These are great classic/rustic looking book marks! I've got 1 leather one and the rest are usually receipts or business cards lol.

LOL! I've used lots of receipts over the years myself. These are great for gifts though... not too many people want me to give them a receipt for a gift :)
Wow Stan. They turned out fantastic. I love the way you tied the leather strip

Thank you, Irish Chippy! It's a simple project really, but one that comes in handy for gift giving.
Love these! ❤

Thank you, David. Simple little things really, but kind of a fun make anyway.
Oh man, I have soo many of these bits of scrap wood (I have a hard time throwing things away too!) Thanks for the idea on how to use them!

Yep...I swear it's a sickness. There's always something I think each scrap could eventually be good for, so I just end up keeping them all. Guess that makes me a wood hoarder :-)

@@StanCrafted I have honestly started throwing wood out. I even threw out some bits of exotic yellowheart this evening because I just don't have room for everything. Every time a piece hits the bottom of the bin I think to myself, that could have been X or Y. I am glad I am not alone!

I think we are all the same, I can't throw away anything ☹️
Great job! I bet these would do really well at a craft fair.

Some times, it is the simplest ideas that produce the best gifts. The book marks look awesome. Put your label on them and sell them online or at craft events! By the way... loved the new camera angles you used for this video but the band saw saw was like fingernails on a chalkboard to this old man! LOL. You should use the scrap pieces you showed to make shoe horns as well. I bet they would look great.
