    I have read other sources and have seen other videos that prescribe the following installation sequence: (1) loosely install the three upper strut tower bolts, (2) install and torque to final specification (140 Nm) the two lower strut mounting bolts/nuts, (3) install and torque to final specification (78.5 Nm) the sway bar link nut, (4) install wheels, (5) lower vehicle to ground, (6) torque to final specification (35 Nm) the three upper strut tower mounting bolts. Tightening the three upper strut tower mounting bolts before lowering the vehicle to the ground can result in damage to the strut tower bearings and lead to the noise that some viewers have reported when turning the drive wheels at low speed.

    Normally changing the stunts in this car does not greatly affect the alignment but it never hurts to get it checked if there is any worry

    Good video. Question, could this strut issue be caused by the extreme heat. I hear a crazy noise only in the afternoon when I’m driving home but in the mornings I rarely hear it and I have a 2016 Nissan Altima!

    Hi, I just put in entirely new KYB strut including the coils into my 2009 Nissan Altima, on both sides. Whenever I turn the wheel either way on both sides I can hear and feel a popping noise, even when completely stopped. It sounds like popcorn pooping. I don't know what is wrong.

    For the most part replacing the struts do not affect the alignment a lot but. Anytime suspension work is done it never hurts to have it checked

    You should definitely get an alignment after, especially on the Altima because you may not have aligned the top strut bolts. You could save and do multiple things at once on the suspension of your car needs it - I did LCA, sway bar link, and strut at the same time. The alignment made the new parts feel even better and the car drive much nicer.

    Do you need to do any kind of alignment after doing this kind of work?

  • @daringmotors

    @daringmotors

    This car does not have adjustments on the struts so it will not need an alignment but it is good to have the alignment checked after replacing any suspension component

  • @daringmotors

    Shocks are just a hydraulic absorber. Where as a strut is a shock absorber and a spring together as an assembly
