@@Hello-hb3nh It’s not that hard but it might take a while and a lot of tutorials for your first year or so, so you need a lot of patience but all in all it’s a pretty cheap and good hobbies to perfect!
Jenna, Great projects! At the same time, maybe the reason others have told you you're not a good instructor is because you name some of the stitches incorrectly__that can be quite confusing. In crochet it's important to understand the names of the stirches are a bit different in the US vs. UK (not sure which Canada follows). However, what you've been calling a 'slip stitch' when first starting your project is called a 'chain stitch', no matter what country. As you're working the project, a slip stitch (US) is when you insert the hook into a stitch, wrap yarn around hook then, pull yarn directly through that stitch and the chain stitch on your hook. When doing any other stitch, you are not doing a slip stitch first, because that is considered part of the particular stitch you are completing. I believe the difference between US and UK is (correct me if I'm wrong on this, anyone who knows)__in US it's: slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and so on; in UK they consider slip stitch as single crochet then, our single crochet is their double crochet, etc. That can get pretty confusing when trying to read patterns between countries. That's why it's important to read the 'legend' of stitches before you begin any pattern you may be following. I hope this explaination has been helpful. With re: to your knitted ear warming headband, if you knit it in the round you won't have any seams to sew at the end. 😋 💖🙌🙌🙌😺

So helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to help clarify things! I am a relative newbie and I was definitely confused by the “slip stitch”…I learned “chain” (US), too. Got it. Thank you! And thank YOU, Jenna!!! Fun and cute projects! You make me want to try knitting!!! ☺️🫶🏻🧶
I've learned how to crochet recently, and I was thinking of making some gifts this year that will actually be used, and not just sit there. Thanks so much for this video Jenna! Love u!💚
I've been knitting basically my whole life and it's been amazing to see how quickly you've become better at it! Waiting for the day you'll try continental style 😌
These videos make me feel very motivated. I have yet to do anything with this motivation but the FEELING is there.
was just thinking about making knit or crochet headbands for my bosses! thank you for this :) I love doing projects along with your videos and now we can be doing the exact same thing while I work lol
You inspired me to start crocheting and I am about half way through a bag!!😊😊
Im more of a crochet type of gal but I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT KNIT HEADBAND, im knitting with markers huhu 😭😭

I did this challenge and it was so much fun!
Youre so awesome. I love watching you learn all this so much. I'm starting to crochet and really appreciate your videos 🌷🌷
I really liked both and love how the bandanna turned out 😊😍
U have to try the Tunisian crochet trust me it’s a game changer
Your sweater turned out so good!! 🌱

Creative!❤❤ I love what you create and this is amazing and unique!!😍😍🤩❤
Very beautiful sweater. Looks perfect!!!!
Jenna, so close on your 245K subscribers and almost Christmas!🌸🌸❤️❤️
You can always cast off ribwise for the ribbed headband and that would give it more of a stretch :)
So talented. I always look for Benson. I love him,
The first one is giving me very much Harry styles at the brits 2020💜💜💜💜
Wowwwww love it 🥰🥰 all my friends are receiving crochet headbands this Christmas 😂 thx for the vid. Helped me :)
I made a bandana as well for my first project. I picked a special pattern and all. Took me TEN HOURS. The nice lady that did the tutorial on youtube said she made it in 30 minutes. Guess I'm reeeeally slow
You have inspired me to get out the knitting needles and yarn. I'm starting right now!

I started off knitting and now mostly crochet but after watching this video I realize that my hands were created to “Knit”
I need to make this asap , love you Jenna
Lovely 😍. Simple and pretty. Or like you say" super dandy "
Your dog is so cute!!!
Easy. Peasy! ❤ Have a great day! 😊
Even I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Bob was my uncle until Jenna let it slip (knot) while spinning that yarn about her longtail cast on method.
An idea i have come by is a cowl/earwarmer mix, and there are some cute ones I have made. So the earwarmer can probqbly be used as both.
Just found Jenna's channel! So glad I did!
Jenna pleaseeeeee tell us how do you have that beautiful glowing skin🥺💖
love u jenna❤
I am all for easy! Thanks
This would be a good neck warmer too.
Thank thank thank you !!!
I am binge watching your videos while knitting 😂
you should make more of these videos!
For me, it is not winter at the moment but, I was bored and this really made my day! It was nice to watch some GOOD content, it was funny even though you barely edited this! I think…. 😊

Your super multi talented girl ....

Cute projects.
The thumbnail attracted me😳😳😳😳❤❤
Love it .. thank you
I learned how to knit when I was in school and I'm 67 years old
Gurl who told you that you're a bad teacher? You're great! Love your little catchphrases btw "Bob's your uncle" lmao
Question, you are using circular needles. Why are you not connecting the rows so you are knitting a circle then you don’t need to sew the piece together?
@Witchywoman13

I think she’s new and self taught 💁🏼♀️
Wow ❤️
hey jenna! Can you explain how you skip to the next row?
do you have to do the longtail cast on? can I cast on as i would usually?
jenna i was on youtube watching knitting videos and i found a youtuber that was using a crochet needle to seam their sweaters togethor instead of using a yarn needle and i thought that would be a good idea for you
Hey ❤️can you make a what i crochet/knit in one month Video or so? Lu jen
Benson's like 'Mum teach me yarncrafts pls'
wait I like your sweater! how can we knit that???
what size is the crochet hook?
13:10 the jen and ben talk show!
Jenna are you all good from the flooding and landslides that have been happening??
Cute!! Now will I actually follow up and start/finish a project?

@Jenna Phipps do you start the row the same as the first (with a knit) so that it is always the opposite stitch to the one before: first row knit would in the second row be a purl or do you put the same stitch on the stitch?
I don’t understand the technique of moving the yarn with your right hand. I learnt to rest the yarn on my left pointer finger (I’m right handed) and just pick up the yarn with the right needle… If that makes sense? I just feel like that’s so much quicker 🤔

with crochet? i do what jenna does too, I'm terrible at controlling the hook so I just move the yarn around lol.

@@Nikki_Cole ohhh lol i thought you might have been talking about knitting so I googled some stuff and I think you're talking about continental knitting? if you are then yes, that seems so easy and fast! I'll have to try it. i hope jenna sees your comment and tries it too, I'm sure she would be glad to have a way to be more efficient lol

she’s doing english knitting and you learned continental! i’ve heard that continental is much faster, but every time i try it i always mess up my work and drop stitches because i was taught the english way. i think the slower knitting with the english style is more calming as well, but to each their own! it’s so interesting that there is so much variation in the way people knit!
@wronglayerbutok

I knit that way too, but i’m stuck only knowing garter stitch because I don’t know how to do the other ones continentally 😰
i cant do it
u really remind me of jules from euphoria
ever since i learned how to crochet i barely buy gifts anymore because my friends *force* me to make them stuff

I like your enthusiasm but you need to learn some crochet terms. You chain to start the project and chain when starting rows.

I really like your videos, but please please change it up with the background music.
WAIT WAIT WAIT 2:30-2:45, you did your slip knot and then said “put your needle thru” or something and the video clip skipped to you already having two loops onto the needle and continued to explain the knitting… but you didn’t tell or show us how you got the second loop on the needle after the slip knot. Confused!

She explained it after the skip (2:30) :) You just have to do the same thing and continue
