@@Hello-hb3nh It’s not that hard but it might take a while and a lot of tutorials for your first year or so, so you need a lot of patience but all in all it’s a pretty cheap and good hobbies to perfect!

Jenna, Great projects! At the same time, maybe the reason others have told you you're not a good instructor is because you name some of the stitches incorrectly__that can be quite confusing. In crochet it's important to understand the names of the stirches are a bit different in the US vs. UK (not sure which Canada follows). However, what you've been calling a 'slip stitch' when first starting your project is called a 'chain stitch', no matter what country. As you're working the project, a slip stitch (US) is when you insert the hook into a stitch, wrap yarn around hook then, pull yarn directly through that stitch and the chain stitch on your hook. When doing any other stitch, you are not doing a slip stitch first, because that is considered part of the particular stitch you are completing. I believe the difference between US and UK is (correct me if I'm wrong on this, anyone who knows)__in US it's: slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and so on; in UK they consider slip stitch as single crochet then, our single crochet is their double crochet, etc. That can get pretty confusing when trying to read patterns between countries. That's why it's important to read the 'legend' of stitches before you begin any pattern you may be following. I hope this explaination has been helpful. With re: to your knitted ear warming headband, if you knit it in the round you won't have any seams to sew at the end. 😋 💖🙌🙌🙌😺

So helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to help clarify things! I am a relative newbie and I was definitely confused by the “slip stitch”…I learned “chain” (US), too. Got it. Thank you! And thank YOU, Jenna!!! Fun and cute projects! You make me want to try knitting!!! ☺️🫶🏻🧶

she’s doing english knitting and you learned continental! i’ve heard that continental is much faster, but every time i try it i always mess up my work and drop stitches because i was taught the english way. i think the slower knitting with the english style is more calming as well, but to each their own! it’s so interesting that there is so much variation in the way people knit!
