Easy DIY Aquarium Background Ideas
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
The most popular DIY aquarium background ideas include painting, using colored paper, frosted wrap, and cling on backgrounds. The smaller the aquarium you have the easier and cheaper it is to find a DIY background. If you have a larger aquarium it’s going to cost a little bit more to cover the actual background on the tank.
Using vinyl wrap is becoming very popular as an easy DIY background. The only issue is you have to make sure the piece of vinyl is the size of your background or you will have visible seams. Using vinyl wrap as an aquarium background is extremely easy and all you will need is the Rapids self and a squeegee and knife.
The easiest DIY background idea is using paint. You can use literally any type of paint you want as long as it dries on glass. Spray paint actually works pretty well too. Just make sure to tape off all areas you do not want to spray paint to adhere to. Worst case scenario though if you get overspray on to the aquarium glass you can just use a razor blade to remove it.

Cool tips!

Hi there- how did you get the spray foam to stick to the acrylic tank and not float? I'm ready to do this to mine but don't want it to float up and be a waste
dude that's so many aquariums! i used black plastidip (rubber spray paint) for my backgrounds. your cats are so funny. lol

I came to say exactly that, Plasti-Dip is probably the best option for two reason. 1- You just cover the rest with tape and garbage bags and spray 2- When you want to remove it, the instant gratification you get from removing that rubbery film will be gargantuesque.
3:08 I think the black background makes the decoration colors really “pop”.
I'm thinking about crinkling up some colored foil if I can find some. Better than paper? Perhaps?
