Beautiful work!!!! I haven't crocheted for some time, but seeing this I think I'm going to give it a try. I think I will make hats for my two daughters for Christmas. Thank you for being willing to share your work!

I just finished mine and it’s perfect. I’m super slow and kinda jealous you finished your ruffle part in 2-3 hours 😩 took me about 10 hours on the ruffles alone. But you’re a great teacher. This was my first time crocheting & I can’t wait to make some in other colors.

How do you get your hat to stand up on its own? Mine came out fatter on the sides. 🤷🏽‍♀️ (I’m using medium weight yarn with a 5mm hook.)

That is genius with the elastic strand. I made a hat like this and it was a little too big so I had to take a row out and now I’m gonna try the elastic band. Would it work the same if you dc instead of hdc

Dc is a longer st you’ll have to alter the design a bit

Can I just make a beanie regularly how I do and then just do the 3 double crochets for the ruffles will that work for any regular beanie
