Lovely pattern. Did it in the end, had to redo it to understand, especially when decreasing at the start. Perfect fit for me and especially the double brim/band whatever one calls it.

I have my volume all the way up and it's still hard to hear you. Can you please record louder? Beautiful by the way. I have the hat made with the pink/red/white multi. Absolutely gorgeous!

first few stitches you started with double crochets then switched to half double crochets both for the hat and the cowl. Any explanations?
