Is there any way to check the life left in your current ones without taking them out? I’ve got about 8000 miles on the originals..

They are visible without taking anything off. It's obvious where the metal backing plate ends and the friction material starts. If it's not obvious it's time to replace them.

What did you do about the clip to keep the bass from bouncing around? Mine came out and I can’t get it back in

Looks like he does not have it on. Take a look at other videos and you can clearly see how that clip is supposed to go in.

Is it normal for the pads to always have pressure/ constantly on the rotor even with no brake applied?

Pressure enough to cause braking to occur? No. Pressure as in the pads are not loose? Yes. It is normal for the pads to constantly ride against the disc

Bought the pads from EBC and is to thick to slide both in so now I got old and new so hopefully the new one wear down wear down😅

Push the piston back into the caliper and install two new ones

@@KorysRides the piston is all the way back I don’t feel like file the pad down measure the pads 10.46 mm to 10.51 mm
