The Sims 4 devs don't seem to understand the difference between "life simulator" and dollhouse.

This is so creative, I never would've thought to do cellar door in the sims!

Brillant Thank you I have a detached basement with no roofing because I couldn't see leaving it open - going to try and make the ladder and the roof play well together.

I want actual, functional cellar doors in Sims 4 so badly. TTATT

I did this in one of my builds, but used two small roof and window shudders so it could be open. My wine seller was in the basement.

I put roofs on the ground like that when I built basements. I make the basements one tile wider than my house and then give it a glass roof as a kinda skylight. I’d never thought to do this though! Will be trying it!

You can also just use the corrugated roof. My dads cellar door is a wooden frame he put metal roofing on

Might be able to do something with an actual door and TOOL mod, I can give it a try, I just don’t like making tutorials using mods often

@@storm.design oh, you're absolutely right. However I don't use tool mod either. i was sort of imagining, based on your current trick, but like a using 2 roof pieces instead of one, and propping the ladder in the middle section. Or perhaps some sort of sliding door situation where one of the roof eaves extend outward. Just because I think your tutorial actually makes a good foundation for something actually functional. 😊🙌🏻

You are so creative but the pathetic thing about this concept is that in Roblox Bloxburg which is a bad cheapy copy of the Sims there are funcional doors like this but in the Sims 4 no 😭
