As someone who used to work in the manufacturing of camo material, I found out the pattern is repeated every 150 yards, but when cut up and made into uniforms, the breaking of the pattern makes the scheme work. Studying MANY photo's of uniforms as part of my employment at the time, I began to see where the same pattern repeats at different angles across the uniform, and where these repeats happened. When it comes to painting camo pattern on minis in the 25-28 mm range, I just throw the paint on any way I feel, and to HELL with anyone who complains that I'm NOT painting "to scale" or keeping the pattern/scheme true to life (IPMS (( International Plastic Modellers Society)) competition judges are my worst enemies here :->). I LOVE the finish you get here, and you use such a simple and easy way to paint it, too, so Double Thumbs Up from me :-) Love all your videos, and watch them again and again, and always learn something new, even after over 50 years (Yes, I am that old, sorry to say, having started WAY back in 1970, with lead based enamel paints and watercolour paints, which was all we had at the time :-D) being in the hobby :-D That's why I love the hobby, as every day I get to see other people show their work, learn something new, and keep being inspired to greater heights myself.

You used water colours? What for, please?

@@MrPolicekarim We used watercolour paints for most painting if we didn't have the enamel paint we wanted. Today I still use watercolour paints instead of glazes, to build up slow highlights on skin tones or clothing, and occasionally on vehicles. It takes a lot of time and practice, but the end results look pretty awesome. You just have to find a cheap set to practice with, and after a while, if you can afford it, move up to the artist level tubes. I use de-ionised water (Used in car batteries, and available in 5 litre bottles for just €2 from my local auto parts store), as it really helps thin down my acrylic paints, and can be used to help make my own washes in bulk, using artists matte medium, artists ink, and the de-ionised water. I can make litres of washes dirt cheap this way, saving so much money to spend on brushes and minis later :-) Hope this explains/helps :-D

There is one camouflage pattern which can be painted to scale - the WW2 British "Dennison" camouflage as used by airborne troops. That's because the dark green and brown splotches were painted onto the cloth in long, broad strokes using 4-inch paintbrushes!

Big plus for pointing out the need to ensure that seam lines are taken into account - so many mini painters miss that in camo tutorials For those from mini wargaming who haven't painted scale model historical stuff looking to paint a historical camo pattern, check out assorted 1:35 scale modelling channels - old US raider, UK DPM and assorted WW2 German camo is common topic

Oh my God! I admit I'm shocked by the miniatures themselves! The cast of Predator and so well sculpt. If the face were the real faces I could die! Is there a game for that miniatures too? Something like "Predator - The board game"?

Camo is weird because if you do it too realistically, it will actually WORK and the camouflage will cause the mini to become harder to see.
