Yes yes yes, Joe knows the tips and tricks no one else does! We want more!
This is the kind of tutorial I've been looking for for years. Not necessarily for OBS, but just something more than the generic garbage that is every other tutorial. This is something unique, more interesting, and slightly more advanced. Thanks Joe!
I don't stream, but I do want more. I just want more Joe.
I would like to confirm that I'd like more. Give us your industry secrets.
Can't tell you how much I appreciate the brevity of this video. Subscribed based on that alone. Nothing is more irritating than content creators adding filler to appease the algorithm.
Joe "no one cared who i was until i put on the mask" Hicks
I just spent 3 hours trying to figure this out now theres a fucking tutorial. Thank you
Thank you for not making this video 15 minutes long.
Very nice. Thanks joe
You showed us more of you at your computer than of how to actually do what we came here to learn.
You are a life savior!
Video SAVED my life omg. I was doing a hand drawn silhouette of a character and couldn't figure out how to resize my camera within the mask ;-; If I could like this video a thousand times over, I would
I want more. Very good I need of these splish splash tips in my life. This very useful for me because I plan on streaming soon.
So helpful! thank you Joe. would love to see more video tutorials like this. or even tutorials inside the vloggy stuff! thank you!!!
Dmn... you make it looks so easy
Been trying to figure this out for days! sub
Yes Joe, this stuff is great, I'd love to see more of it.
The additional scaling info is super helpful, but it's only on screen for a few frames so I had to keep pausing and replaying the video to get the actual info I needed. 😅
I dont know if Im dumb or something but I try to get this to work and I can't transfor my cam outside the limits of the cam, any advice?
Love just the ‘like this’ consistency 😂 thank you for the update and really helpful tips! 💜 it’s a really clear explanation on how to do Any other ones would be amazing! Just little tips on how maximize your image or presentation would be amazing 🥰 a great small little video Joe!
YES moree pls
I love your content! More tutorials or things like this for like design, video editing or something would be cool!
short and sweet, very cool!
I want more Joe
Super Helpful, TY!
Omega useful dude! I have no clue when it comes to OBS tricks like this even tho i use it a lot
Thank you very much! I was just going to crop my camera in OBS but now I can have a circular mask
Love it! Would appreciate more!
Glad I discovered this! I needed it!
I don't stream. I likely never will stream. I just love seeing you tell us about your job and passions. Pls more, thnx.
i love these tutorials!!!
I would definitely love to see more tips and tricks for twitch, editing, and after effects.
sadly I got so confused by this... applying an image mask blend shape to a group channel, then applying a colour source behind that in the group, whenever I go to adjust it, it just resizes the lot. clearly my brain isn't up to it. any ideas o' wise sage?
I want more! This is really handy
Yes more tips and tricks would be great. Especially some of the After Effects and/or Photoshop variety
Amazing tutorial Joe! Thanks so much!

You are most welcome :)
Thank You!! Finally I can resize my camera! No more zooming on my poor nose lol
I love this it's short and sweet. Could you one day show us how to use them to get the effect you have in the thumbnail where it loos like we come out of the camera box.
This was really helpful and easy to understand! I would love to learn more like this! 😍
Hey Joe! Another great video! Love your content man. Friend of mine from work knows I've done video jobs and asked if I could teach him video editing, so I'm making him a quick tutorial on basics and using your 5 minute video of your basic process to teach him stuff!
Give us all the secrets of the industry! all the Obs-secrets! All of them! thank you ^_^
THANKS!

Need an update to this
I would really like to get into streaming and having these tutorials would really help. This is a very interesting one that would really help no to appear like a basic bi*** Thank you so much! P.s. love the lighting situation!
what if the group window expands when I adjust the camera window in the group? how to turn it off?
Is this possible on Streamlabs OBS? I don't have an option to apply a filter to a group, only individual sources.
Mooooore industry secrets!
Hey Joe try my new OBS Studios Interface! It makes obs 1000 times better! It is free! Enjoy it!
MOOOOAAAAARRRR
Oh hey, I had this idea - NVIDIA now allows for removing background without green screen - so use an original video at first and crop till like half of the screen, then add another player with this NVIDIA bg removed video - making a frame similar to that thumbnail of yours!
I can get this to work on OBS but not Streamlabs OBS, I can't seem to figure out how to apply a filter to a group in Streamlabs. Any suggestions? Am I missing something?
Moar!
ExcuUuse me, is there a place where I can see your PC specs ?
I'm trying to run a livestream with three other people over Skype. I know it's probably not possible, BUT... is it possible to source each camera in the Skype call at all four corners of the stream at once?
@JoeHickson

Look into obs ninja, it's a great way to send video remotely for capture :) you can still use Skype for audio
Guys please help! I did all of that but when i close and reopen OBS the camera size its reset to default and its once again out of frame! Any ideas please?
This is all good and great Joe but I don't own a fucking camera.
I know you have more so for your sakes yes I want more

Can You help it doesn't work it doesn't cut it off
Loved this. Obs can feel like such bullshit
Your tutorials are usually great but I'm unable to add a Filter to my Group in OBS. I have no such option and can only add a Filter to my Video device generically. Shame :(
So when are we getting 0:20 "Pretty easy" pencil drawn T-shirt.

Hopefully something like this every other week :)
I have watched this 10 times, doing the same exact steps, and it doesnt work. I need HEEELLLPPPP, when making the camera bigger, it grabs the color source and makes it bigger too
@JoeHickson

You’re probably selecting the group rather than the camera
Naa i got lost here. too choppy with the editing.
FUCK YEAH LUMA MATTES!! GET THOSE GROSS CROP FILTER EFFECTS OUTTA HERE, EUGH!
you totally hated making this.
I was gonna type a thank you but I've seen the fingers comment.
Pretty easy
