Just a tip for you since you mentioned that your knives are dull… Using a glass cutting board will dull your knives very quickly. Something softer like wood or plastic will keep your knives sharp longer. P.S.- I love every video that you make and get so excited to watch when you have new content! Thanks for being an inspiration to us all! 😊

I personally love that you take a balanced approach in your kitchen. Its obvious you are conscious of what you're feeding your family, but also, the resource of a microwave and squeeze mayo is still a legit way to keep your family eating real food more often than not❣ lovely as always

From a Brit, it is ‘wu-stu-shu!’ Worcestershire sauce. We Brits love hearing Americans say it, it’s so funny hearing you get tongue tied. 😉😁

Ive found writing it as Wooster-shur sauce tends to make it easier for north Americans to get a better pronunciation of Worcestershire sauce correctly. Unfortunately it's been long since i found their abysmal pronunciation funny. N Americans seem to take much more care pronouncing other cultures/languages ingredients/foods at least resembling correct so they don't come across rude/racist etc but many seem to think its funny to not even attempt to pronounce British English derived ingredients correctly. Not a dig at this creator specifically but the "masses" of n.American creators in general, seeing as how populus n.America is vs the rest of the English speaking world they end up being a massive portion of English language content on KZread so it comes up a lot. I actually prefer when creators who know they struggle with the pronunciation call it the "W sauce" instead because the dodgy pronunciation is nowadays like nails on a chalkboard to me.

My mom had a biscuit cuter but she never used it she said it limited the rise of the biscuits. She had an old plastic drinking cup (child size) that she had put holes in the bottom of and always used that. It’s so funny to realize how simple the older generations done things to get better results than we get now with all of of our technology and “fancy” gadgets.

Love my pastry blender for biscuits. My MIL used the side of a metal spoon and that’s what I used for the longest time. The first time I tried the pasty blender, it was a game changer. I don’t roll and cut my dough but I have seen some elderly people use an empty tin can for cutting biscuits

I use a pretty similar recipe for my gf biscuits. I let my dough rest in the fridge after mixed for 20 mins. Gf flours dont asorb the liquids as quickly. They don't rise as much as regular ones. I've learned to roll them out to the thickness you want your biscuits. Hope that helps.

Great video (loved your latest pantry tour too). Do yourself a favor and ditch the glass cutting board - it will dull your knives faster than just about anything.

If you want to kick that beef stew up a notch, sauté the meat in that pot briefly first along with the veggies. I actually use two cans of French onion soup along with water, but definitely sauté at least the meat. You can also take it with cornstarch slurry, so it’s not like soup.

Hi Adaline, thank you so much for sharing your family life with us. I know some of your family members have gluten sensitivities and being celiac myself I just wanted to make sure that you know that a lot of Worcestershire sauce brands contain gluten. You probably already know this but better sure than sorry. I sure did not expect that one when I first got diagnosed. 😊

The way I look at it, whenever I do shortcuts like store mayo, I just remind myself ... what I'm making is still a money saver and healthier than getting it elsewhere. The nutrition and quality of your squeeze mayo may be similar or a little worse than homemade, but when combined with the fresh ingredients, the organic items you've procured, the butter you're adding to your rice, etc is all a leap forward than eating out or grazing on less nutritious convenience foods. Every decision with every ingredient should be purposeful and you have to be okay with it. I use ziploc bags...and I often feel guilty ... but I'm not doing anything wrong and honestly I do so much to reduce my carbon footprint that me using a ziploc bag or two, especially since majority of the time I use compostable bags, is actually less of a carbon footprint than if we were to eat out or get convenience items from the store in terms of packaging and in farm practices that purchasing items from commercial farms that are not in my regular rotation because of their practices that I disapprove of. So you don't need to give yourself grace. You need to accept that you're doing what you can with what you have and sometimes the energy to make homemade mayo isn't worth omitting the recipes, alternatives, or guilt associated because it isn't your preferred option.

I giggled a bit when you brought up the mayo. I dont get it, it takes aprox ONE minute to make it and I get the same way..."its just another project" Reality...it takes me longer to go to the store to get it...or put in into my cart to have delivered than it does to make it. I made a commitment to myself that I am making the majority of my own condiments this year. Every time I toss eggs in the IP to make hard boiled eggs, I make a mindful choice to bring out an extra egg or two and make mayo. LOL I remember watching my grandmother cut biscuits. She used a drinking glass. She wiped the rim with bacon grease and just got them with ease. Also, I make that exact zucchini dish a LOT here. Only I layer in onion with it as well. One of are all time family favorites Everything looks so tasty

I looked at the butcherbox information, and I have to say that $18.00 per pound of meat is not a value. Even if they adding in the cost of shipping. Organic meats in my area do not cost anywhere near that even if you through in the cost of gas to go and buy it.

Another thing I have noticed, is that you do not pronounce your Ts. ie: glue-n instead of gluten; ligh-ns instead of lightens, etc. Is this a fad? I hear younger people talking like this all the time. All the old English teachers are probably rolling over in their graves about now. I'm just curious. I do love your content. Keep it coming!!
