One of the many things I appreciate about your channel is the way you credit those you learn from and direct us to their content. I always come here first, but I've learned a lot from the other metal shapers you've introduced me to as well. You are building such a great community, and I'm thankful to be included.

Thanks Kevin! Credit where credits due! Appreciate you Kevin 👊
Nice Job ! I've spent the better part of my 74 years restoring classic cars and it's nice to see someone that actually takes the time to do those compound curves right. Back in the day I had a "California Kid " clone I build back in the 70's and had to repair the same exact area except on the drivers side . Sadly that was before things like flap discs and roll locks so it was even more time consuming . Plus I still used lead at the time and still do on occasions actually, sadly it's a dying art and few know how to nowadays. I'm just finishing up a 1971 Buick Riviera with only a bit of the interior and seat covers to go after a 4-5 year long hiatus after a serious neck , shoulder and crushed nerve injury that made the project take years longer to do than expected. Luckily it's my own rig and I started with a rust free Fla car I got from the original owner . Unfortunately there wasn't a single panel that wasn't damaged and it took months of blocking to get those ,,Gigantic Swooping panels right. I don't think there is a body line or panel on that car that didn't contain a compound curve and wicked sloppy gaps, all looking good now though . This will likely be my last restoration sense that injury left me pretty messed up to the point my hands barely work and I can't move my neck much without allot of pain. I'm glad to see there's still folks with the passion for this kind of work even though I'm sure you may have asked yourself,,,"How to Hell did I get myself into this mess " ,,,, LOL!!! I sure have before !
Every day I see a Japhands notification pop up on my phone is a good day! Excellent work as always Karl!
Karl, all of your content is excellent and your delivery of it is superb.
I honestly can't say which I like more. I watch and re-watch so many metal shaping videos of yours, but the addition of the DIY tool building blew me away. I'm loving all of it.

Thanks a lot man! Stoked you dig it all. 😆👊👊
That “hammer whammer” is great piece of tooling to have.
I like how Karl makes a body filler form for his metal repair panel... I make a pile of body filler to bury my repair panel!😲
Hey Karl, The finished repair is amazing ! After paint no one would realize that is new metal. Thank you for showing us it can be done. Take Care
I love the tutorials and these tool builds that are accessible to anyone just starting out. I'm getting my first welder for my birthday in a few weeks so I can start metal working. All the project builds are great too. I always learn something.
Karl you need to know how to make the body shapes before you can fix your hot rod your teaching us the right way I have learned a lot from your channel thanks
I really like watching the Zephyr and Model A build. You ask, that's my favorite thing .
WOW, what a knowledgeable craftsman you are. Very informative and inspirational video. Thank you. If I wasn't so old and worn out I'd finish restoring the 66 Chevy II I have in my garage on a rotisserie!! Keep the great videos coming (that's why I subscribed), thank you again.

There is people that can help you finish that car!
You are probably one of the only guys I would let walk in my shop and work on anything in the shop. You are definitely good at what you do.

Thanks terry!
You have to be one of the most chilled out, cool, happy guys in the world. 👍🇬🇧
I absolutely love making the tools. And I love how the tools make the car parts better. It's both.
going to buy me, one of those "Hammer-Jamer" kits! Amazing how fast it puts a profile in.
Think you should make a hammer jammer tool how to make video 🤔
The length of the video was just right.
WD-40 works as a release agent. Also, you can "thin" your Bondo with polyester (fiberglass) resin.

Agreed. A lot of guys act like this information just appears to them. I'm self taught for the most part but it takes a ton of research. I've been working on, building, fabricating stuff since I was a kid. 30 years later and still learning.
Hey Carl I just realized the last name Fisher is familiar to me because of my love of GM and the body plate says Body by Fisher now that s a sticker
I like the fixing and "making tools to do the job" aspect of the channel. Your recording, both audio and video, is generally pretty good. I also enjoy the art/design side of your builds, but the repairing has more attraction for me at this time.
Wow 👌 👏 dude that's awesome brother 👏 thanks for sharing this 👍 and EXPLAINING IT STEP BY STEP.
No complaints from me brother, I dig all of your content!
Some proper genius tips and tricks in this one Karl...
Amazing work brother! Very grateful for all the tips and how to you provide, I’ve learned a lot from you! 😊🙏
Ever try a profile comb…. Just push it over the shape and needles slide and lock into place. Then lay it over cardboard and mark the shape.. seems a lot easier.
Since your sweet little forming machine is basically a miniature pullmax, I'd call it the Minimax!
I know getting work on the cars is important but I'm enjoying the tool ideas, who woulda thought about making a pulmax with an air hammer, I mean come on, how cool is that

Ha ha yeah I’m pretty stoked that it works as well as it does! I’m very surprised it’s not a Common tool now that it’s built
So cool... wish I was 40 years younger!
Looks like that tool is going to be pretty versatile I like it
I love taking breaks from my own work to watch your videos!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I find that your teachings are geared just right, especially for me. I feel that most everything you show us is very doable, even by a novice like myself. I'm working on a 37 Pontiac and I feel more capable of doing what's needed from watching your work. A big thank you for sharing your talent!

You’re very welcome and thank you for the feedback!
Call the tool the BeadOmatic 500. Nice to see you mixing the bondo with a big old flat screwdriver.
GREAT JOB ... !!!!!! I LEARNED A LOT ONE MY FIRST VIDEO ...! ! ! THANK YOU .. ! ! !
I enjoy this type of content. It is the type of thing I a doing in the garage. Smallish patch panel on a door. I think my “take away “ is patience. You take the time to do it right. I tend to start of careful and then go cave man. Japhands kustoms teaches patience grasshopper 👍
You can also use plasticine for the walls instead of cardboard. If you then dab on the first layer of Bondo with a brush, you will get little to no air bubbles.
Rammer Jammer ..Black Betty could be the theme song for The Hammer
Fibre glass resin added making it runnier and allows a little longer time to work with.
The technique of making the pointy edges on the Rollo disk was invented by Bill Hines, the legendary custom car builder
weird earlier today the algorithm recommended Cornfield Customs and I opened his video in another tab and clicked on it while you were talking about him.
I’ll be waiting for the video on the “rainbow caterpillar” TIG welding. Lots of times when I would rather TIG but can’t get at the back to hammer it out. Thanks for the videos!!
Your humble and not full of yourself even though you got the skills to back it up, nice work man

I use play-doh but also not as precise as you. Love your craft.
I love your videos whether you’re working on tools or cars, they go together.
Can’t lie I love the tools and cars can’t choose just love it all even just general work is awesome I’m uk based and really want to get to do all of this such a cool art
The tools have to come before the work on the car, just as you showed. Thanks for sharing with us today.

There’s always a way even with no tools! But yes, sometimes you need to make the tool lol
Dang, nice work! Looks great as always
I love all the content
Building Tools Is part of Hot Rodding
You just asked what do you think of this kind of content Well my answer is it's brilliant you are a great teacher please lets have more of the same I think most guys can learn something from you.👍👍
Excellent video. Thanks for all your how to's. Quick and easy way to make those dams to prevent the Bondo from running is using kids Play-Doh. Just keep couple of cans around the shop. You can reuse them. Keep up the great work.
Nice work Karl, thanks for sharing your knowledge & expertise .. thanks also for taking the extra time to record the process !!
I love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ford pick up
Btw, i find it very cool that you are only a short ways away from where i grew up in Poco!
Dude, what a great video. You make it look so easy. A true craftsman for sure. I'm enjoying your channel so much. I love the videos of doing the builds but the tool making and techniques are so helpful and educational. The hammer jammer is awesome.
Nothing wrong with your content Karl. I enjoy and learn something from each and every one. Keep it up.
always learning something great job thanks
That’s a great little machine, amazing results! I love your Beverly shear, if it was mine I’d name it Brenda! 😍🤣
This kind of repair is what got me hooked on your channel, but now I love the tool making too. Keep it up and I will keep trying to be as good as you.
That machine is awesome!
Just a little tip with the bondo… you can mix in fiberglass resin in the bondo to change the consistency. Not only will it give you a sharper or more crisp profile but it will also reduce the chances for air bubbles. Thanks for the content. Just wanted to share this little tip.
Looks factory 😊good job
Love this video. The tool part is very helpful to those of us who bought the "Hammer Jammer"! Good welding explanation as well.

Received my (waiting for name) profiling tool and am in the process of putting it together. Ordered the DIY shrinking dies this morning (2 sets for the stuff up factor!) Thanks for your show and inspiration!👏👏👏👏👏
Nice job Carl, turned out nice, and now for the bottom weld,👌
See you at the Australian Nationals in Mandurah March , I hope you get that class going and let us know !
When making a form like that you can add fiberglass resin to the bondo to make it a bit thinner, or two part finishing Putty which we typically call Icing!
Add resin to the Bondo, the resin will make it runny. It will take a bit longer to dry.
i look forward to every episode im going to be making some of your tools once it gets warm enough to be out in the garage , ive learned alot from you its making it easier to go out and cutup my gto to finish the bodywork and the build dad and i started before his passing thank you fpr the passing on of knowledge
You'll have to get one Brents new laser tool to get rid of the internal rust! Great job Karl!
Love the tool making. And I love this type of content. You are an awesome teacher Karl. Kudos brother. Keep this sort of stuff coming. Hammer Jammer name is cool but "Karl's Bench top Profiler" could be a good option.
Why not trademark that "Hammer Jammer" and take it National ? That is a really cool tool that many would find helpful.
Very cool Video showing what your hammer can do! So used to your TIG welding the MIG is welcome to see being used to make a complex repair seem simple!
Stunning! Love the versatility of the machine and your explanation/tutorial of how to make it work! Looks like the minibike collection is growing! Go Japhands, keep moving forward!
huge fn love everything youve taught this old man thanks your one of my favorites
Unbelievable fabrication Karl. You amaze me with what you’re able to do with metal fabrication. Just are so good! Thanks for sharing your skills! ❤️💯👍👊
Love your shop Karl, I am also in the trade, mostly doing rersto,s, for the past 25 years in New Zealand. until just in the last few years I never used weld thru primers, but now I only prefer to use copper weld thru primer, because it can handle the heat way way better, than zinc, or galv, keep up the great work, love you're show, p,s, used to love working with 19 guauge, but bloody to hard to get over here too. Ken.
Love u made a planshing hammer forming dies, very good mate, because not everyone can afford a Pullmax, machine, u have to chop off your bloody right arm over here, to be able to afford one of those over here, also finally someone doing mig welding on some steel body work instead of tig welding all the time, well done, & for the average Joe out there learning, mig is going to be the first port of call ,,Not tig.

I like the tool making and the body work both .It looks like you did a nice job on the truck.

I enjoy all your content. There is value in every video you post
Bondo is the brand name for the plastic filler
Just awesome content Karl. Thanks so much for posting this, learning so much 😊
the gray weld through primer is full of zinc and makes poison gas when you weld it... also the zinc acts just like regular galvanizing, contaminating the weld. IMO it's suitable for spot welding rather than MIG/TIG/MMA. The copper is fine because it doesn't contaminate the weld, just like the copper on the welding wire / tig rods is fine too. zinc makes the weld spit and hurl molten globs at you
Love this type of content---love to tool building as well!!!!!
Hammer Time!
Really nice work Karl👍
Been watching your channel for ever and that’s the first time I’ve seen you use bog😂

Trimming the rolok disks to squares or pentagon or other pointy shapes also helps get into tight corners. I work on a much smaller scale. I use flex shaft tools. I put multiple square sandpaper pieces on an arbor between two tiny washers made from X weight sanding belt. Offset the square shapes. It really does a great job. Also try facing the abrasive two down and two up.

Thank you so much it’s messages like this that means a lot to me and reinforce the why factor of my life’s work!
If you're buddy is planning on painting his cab you guys should consider having it dipped. It's such a wonderful process for these 90 year old bodies.
Maestro, Thanks
Beautiful job! Would like to see you repair the cowl vent as that is a common problem with old cars! I enjoy all your videos so just keep them coming! Looking forward to you and Brent working on the ramp truck! Take care.
Hey Karl. You asked for comments about this content. I love it! Cars or tools, it’s great to see. I’m restoring Grandpas ‘49 Suburban here in Washington just south of you. Really beautiful job on the repairs in this video. Nice camera work Elio! (sp)
If you mix fiberglass resin with your bondo then mix the hardener in you can make it much smoother and less bubbles. Excellent content!
Again Karl always the mastercraft! I was thinking that I would properly just us a pin profiling tool instead of the extra time and work to use bondo.
I'm here primarily for the metal work, but I watch and enjoy every video you put out. Great stuff, Karl!
Amazing tool you guys came up with, great video Karl.
Love all the tips, definitely want a hammer jammer now !! Nice to see how it’s used !
