    Thank you - very much appreciated. Fun game (for the pub) "Guess the Intro" play a few well-known intros BACKWARDS and smile inside. I use Mrs. Robinson E-G-B E-D-E (backwards being D-E-D B-G-E) - try it, it's FUN! "Mrs. Robinson - you're trying to seduce me.........................[ pause ]..........................aren't you?" NEVER gets old/stale. Plus Paul Simons guitar riffs throughout the film really add to it. A timeless classic. Thanks again Dave.

    @@EpicGuitarInstruction Shucks Dave. I'm nowhere near smart/talented enough to have thought of it (been a (very amateur) basshead for years so only started 6-stringing a few months ago, zero 'theory' knowledge) - Victor Borge does/did it best on the piano kzread.info/dash/bejne/nISrsNmHlKidoKg.html But I have started thinking 'whatifs' - what if it wasn't Adam, rather Lemmy (Motorhead) and the Ants? What if we'd got Simon and Rickman (well, Shatner and Joe Jackson worked - their cover of Common People still rocks)? How would the songs sound? Methinks there might be some fun here (after all, music IS about emotion - so fun good). Plus Alan Rickman is forever legend - "Do not disappoint me, Mrs. Robinson". Take care, Bro.

    Intro Riff - 3 min 45 - any help in getting these changes smoother? I've practiced and practiced the moves but they still sounds nothing like as smooth. Are there any tricks to improve or just constant practicing with the fingers?

    Question about the E7 chuck at the beginning, you say to hold the cord and mute the strings, but it looks like you are adding fingers to all of the other strings and holding the chord when you chuck. Is that correct? Also, it looks like you are chucking on the up stroke only. Is that correct as well?

    I'm a little confused in the opening you say after the into you start with the chorus then go to the verse, later on in the video you seem to change it to intro verse the chorus .

    Paul Spears Hi Paul - my apologies for any confusion. The song starts with the intro then goes right into the chorus - the "hers to you Mrs Robinson" part - then verse. Often songs go from intro right into verse but at times you catch a song that goes intro then chorus.Thanks so much for watching our lessons and I hope that we can help you along in your guitar journey. And if you don't mind please be sure to spread the good word about the channel and please stay tuned! Hi Rich and thank you for checking out our videos and lessons. No, we do not have printable lyric or tab sheets for song lessons. We do the chord lines in the video and for our original instructional video lessons we often have on-screen tabs - but not for the song lessons. Sorry we cant be more help on that one. I may have a songsheet somewhere for this song - I will have to look. Email me your regular email address and I will email it over if I locate it - email me at TheNextLevelGuitar@yahoo.com - And be sure to take a good look around the channel as I have tons of killer lessons and songs taught in the same format - lots of fun stuff. Enjoy and stay tuned - lots more killer content and lessons coming soon and please subscribe to the channel. Hello. Is this song in E? Is possible to play without a capo?

  • @EpicGuitarInstruction

    @EpicGuitarInstruction

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi and happy holidays! The original recording of the song is in the key of F# - so in the video I am opening with an E7 chord but with the capo at the 2nd fret the actual pitch is F#. You can play the song with the same chord voicings I teach in the lesson with NO capo - it will just be a whole step lower in pitch. Often The capo is used to change the key, most often to make the song more in the singers vocal sweet spot. And thank u so much for checking out this lesson - really appreciated! u rock!!!! And be sure to take a good look around the channel as we have tons of killer content and lessons - lots of fun stuff. Enjoy and stay tuned - lots more lessons and content coming soon. I also have another KZread channel at ROCK ON GOOD PEOPLE here: kzread.info - which is more instructional based and not song based like this channel - be sure and check that one out also - lots of killer lessons and content as I post on both channels. Keep up all that hard work on that guitar and please subscribe to the channels. Take care, and rock on! -David Taub, Next Level Guitar Inc. & EGI

    I committed myself to reading each comment until I found one that pointed out that the intro lick, that makes the song, is not played correctly. Your comment was the first I found. Hey Dave, you have a lot of praise for this video, but your not playing the lick correctly. You have a real nice teaching style, the graphics are great (for the strumming patterns), people like you, but it would be better if you got the lick right, or maybe just closer. Do you have a teacher? Play that lick for your teacher, get some input. Constructive feedback, hope it’s taken that way.

    I really like Dave's lessons. He explains everything simply, but has a passion to capture the accurate vibe of song. Gave a new appreciation for Lightning Crashes kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6apqpahn7O0pdI.html by Live - despite the fact that they were my first favorite band ... My question - are there songs where Dave sings? :) Potential Spoiler of the movie Graduate from 2:10 to 3:22 - which I now need to go see.

    Hi James and thanks so much for your kind words on our lessons and teachings - really means a lot to all of us here at Epic Guitar Instruction. So glad that we can help you along in your guitar journey. Yeah, I try my best to strip the songs down so that they are fun and viable for one guitar, but yet still capture the songs essence and vibe. Plus of course try to be as accurate as possible with the chord voicings. Yeah, I love the band LIVE also - they wrote so many great songs. I do sing some songs but my voice is not the best. Its something that I work on but progress is slow in the vocal area, but getting better. Definitely watch the graduate - fantastic movie! And if you have a sec please SUBSCRIBE to our channel as we put out new lessons and content all the time. Keep up all that hard work on that guitar and keep on rocking! -David T, EGI & NLG

    It would be interesting if he would actually play a couple of bars without stopping, so one can see how those parts are strung together. The chords are simple, it is the rythmic techniques, the spaces in betweenn if you will, the smooth changes that make this song unique. So play the song already!
