Rob, thanks for your energy and videos! I am enjoying them as I relearn quilting in my retirement! My dinner would include invitations to some everyday quilters I've met, plus the people whose videos and live sessions I have turned to most over the last seven months of my journey and whose passion and creativity is infectious : you, Alyssa Thomas (Penguin & Fish), Pat Sloan (Splendid Sampler), and Irene (Sugaridoo). I'm thankful for you all!

If I am lucky enough to win, please send my prize to my favorite local quilt shop The Enchanted Quilt. The ladies here are so nice and helpful. Thanks you Rob for this video and I hope you have a fun vacation.

I would like to invite Alex Anderson to dinner. She was extremely instrumental in guiding me through my beginning days of quilting. I love the ease of raw edge, but the look of needle-turned, so I sew it to a lightweight fabric(used dryer sheets, right sides together) then turn. Looks great and easy peasy. I would invite Lynn Reinhardt of "the Stitch TV Show", because I love both her style and her values.

Great video. I like your you get to the little details that so many other people leave out, like cutting with scissors and the shark, and blanket stitching. Our local quilt shop closed a couple of months ago. There is a JoAnns store here. But I do drive up to Tempe and Chandler and Mesa... Or down to Tucson. I would invite you to dinner as well as the Fab Five from Queer Eye on Netflix. Those guys are hilarious and could teach me a few things about style. And they like to party and have fun!

Thanks Rob, down over back is now looping in my head! I'm so easily influenced. Who would I invite? That is a hard question. I am going to ponder on that for awhile and get back to you. It's Thursday morning and after much pondering. I have considered all the religious leaders, world leaders and politicians (I would certainly like to bend their ear), movies stars, and all those people I love in the quilting world but I have decided I would invite my 20 year old granddaughter. She has been so busy with work and school that she has not been to see her grandmother in a while. (Are you listening Lillian) She is bright and articulate and I'm pretty sure she could use some grandma time.

Of course I'd invite you, Rob, along with my quilting friend Pauline and my sister-in-law Trish. Trish has done patchwork but not quilting, and I think you'd inspire her with your wonderful enthusiasm. I'd ask you for your opinion about why people rarely use piping on quilts and I think the conversation would flow pretty well. As it's not ever likely to happen, do you have any idea why people seem to rarely use piping on quilts? It's not something I normally think about, but today I saw a partly-made quilt which seemed to cry for a bit of dark piping between the pattern and the border, to emphasise the wavy edge of the design.
