I was an adult by the time I realized that it was possible to make angel food cake anyway except from the box, but once I learned how, there was no turning back!
It’s so delicious and easy and your family will love it tonight and tomorrow! (I’m turning it into a trifle tomorrow!)
Angel food cake:
12 egg whites
2 c sugar
1 Tbs vanilla
2 Tbs lemon juice
Pinch of salt
1 c plus 2 tbs cake flour
Macerated strawberries:
2 c thinly sliced strawberries
1/3 c sugar
Don’t forget the whipped cream!
