The fact that some of you don't understand/feel the painting, doesn't mean that it's "incomplete or nonsensical" The depth of colors, the distribution, the way He moves the hands to give value to the colors, the essence of his job, it's not for everyone. Please, respect art, even if you are not able to understand it. Thanks! PS Yes, I've posted this comment twice.

Aeva Rose. That orange and blue could definitely make brown or even the purple and yellow. The only reason why there isn't brown here is that they were careful to not push the colors into each other too much, and I'm also assuming that many of the places were somewhat dry. They may have not waited for it but I saw a few cuts in the video and acrylic dries fast.

I suppose maybe because most people find it hard, the task of reaching deep to grab what beauty lies within and then have the courage to bring it to light and let it guide them for a few patient, quiet moments. And also to remain humble when others are touched by their work. Soooo deep. Lol, Not like I'm actually an artist but whatever.

This painting deals with that big noble question of “How to make a difference in the world?” The ending is the most clear and striking part. If nothing else, viewers are left with the impression that our painter, who paint beautiful orange color , puts value on striving to make a difference. The striving is reconstituted and complicated here in reflection, but he wants to make a difference and so should we. That is why this is a great painting from a basic or close perspective.

@@marxgalacticambition7023, As an artist I COMPLETELY agree. Literally anyone can do this. Unique doesn't mean anything. I'm not "anti abstract" or anything, sometimes I do find one that I can just stare at, but most just looks like a toddler made them. I spent years of training to get my skill. This can be made by someone who has never touched paint in their lives. And it buggs me when people try to be "deep" about a blob of colors to try to justify how "amazing" it is. When I see someone make a hyper realistic eye or something, THAT is amazing. Knowing the amount of time, effort, skill, years of training to get to that point, and understanding of the natural world's structures makes my jaw drop and one day I want to be just as skilled. I'm getting close, realism is my skill, but geometric shapes makes me want to pull my hair out. Nature doesn't have perfect symmetry or straight lines so no one cares if a line is off, but structures? They notice quick. Anyways, this take no effort, no skill, no years of training, and very little time. Its just not impressive to me.

I think abstract art is lovely, simply because every piece of art is unique. I mean even if it's just blobs on a canvas that's been smeared around its unique to the artist you know? Any time I make a horrible mess when I'm trying to be creative I can't bring myself to get rid of it because even tho it didn't come out the way I pictured it, I know I'll never be able to recreate it perfectly. I mean everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I think it's pretty harsh to judge a whole category of art because you think it's too simple, when did art become about difficulty or simplicity. I thought it was about creativity and uniqueness, but hey I'm no art expert. Edit: Can I just say thank you so much for all the likes! I've truly never gotten so many before, I appreciate all of you so much!

I don't think it's about it being simple. It's more about it losing its meaning because everyone can do it. Art as a skill is something unique and amazing to watch when the modern art it's just something anyone can do. Also because art is expensive people often call something an abstract art just to get some money of of it.

Art is only made quickly after years of a human living. So it's better to think that this picture took over 10 years to make. ^.^' not to sound too preachy. Just my view as a studying artist. People buy what they can't make, regardless of its time or apparent effort. And when talking to someone who says "I could do that." It's about who actually did it and what led them to making it.

Caélum Green I think that the reason they go for so much money is the fact that people can see the painting in so many different ways and you can feel a lot more emotion in abstract pieces. Also if you ever try to make these kinds of paintings it is very relaxing and fun. I recommend you try it.

So instead of whining, go have fun, smudge paint on a canvas, and make art u fools!! Edit: To all those upset over the fact that people sell abstract art for thousands of dollars, consider this. Be angry at the overly pompous and greedy capitalist elite whom would willingly throw 1k at a piece like this, and congratulate your artistic brothers and sisters for scamming what little they could out of a simple minded rich individual. Keep in mind however that abstract art is still art, and as long as it makes people happy, who are we to judge them!? If you are an artist who is upset over the fact that things like this sell for so much and your detailed art doesn't, that is NOT the abstract artists fault, it is your own for underselling your own beautiful works! I am an artist myself, close to completing my Illustration degree at my university. So not only am I speaking from experience, but also from a place of love for all art!

You should all take an art appreciation course sometime, no matter your background. It'll enlighten you. Edit: My previous wording of this comment was poor at best. I have fixed the last statement in it to reflect this, and hopefully bring more clarity to new participants in the conversation. Apologies for any confusion.

Isnt the point of art to be both appreciated and unappreciated? We should expect some mixed reviews here as half the beauty if abstraction comes from the people who dont understand it and hate it. Or dont understand it but try to find meaning in it weather its there or not. You should have learned that in the art appreciation course you speak of. Just allow art to be art.

@@o.s.h.4613 So I guess Da Vinci, Picasso, Mondrian, Gorky, Karl Benjamin, Keith Haring, etc. aren't "real artists" then. They're just a "mockery" despite their massive historical and modern influences in art. The problem with you is you think art quality is determined by putting "years" into it, when in fact, art has quality when it has meaning or intent that can be communicated, whether it be a message about society or simply is intended to look visually pleasing. Either way, to say it's a "mockery" is quite bold, and to compare it to how you feel with your art, perhaps that's just an insecurity. As Ben Shapiro says, "Facts don't care about your feelings."

Being an artist for 11 years I for the longest of times thought abstract wasn't art....😑Until I tried it. Everything was like mud lol. But I seen how hard it actually is to create unintentional perfect strokes how it's possible is amazing and now I can say I still suck 😅 but I love it just as much as any other style. Though seeing so much paint used dose hurt me on the inside like using copics to fill In a background.

Of course always the non artists or artists with poor knowledge would say this isn't art and is a waste. Try doing it yourself without having a guide and see what you'll get : shit. This man has years and years of experience and it looks easy exactly because of that, this looks amazing and if you don't think it's art then maybe reevaluate what you actually know about it.

The only kind of abstract art I don’t understand is the ones where people just splatter paint onto a canvas and go “it’s abstract art!”, no that was my second grade art project😂 This dudes art is really good though, he made it seem so effortless
