Eastwood Breadwinner 12 // Psych at its Best!

eastwoodguitars.com/products/...
In the 1970s, a wave of innovation swept through the guitar world as builders began exploring ergonomic designs and active pickups. Among these pioneering creations, the Ovation Breadwinner emerged as a standout, hailed by vintage collectors for its unmatched comfort and distinctive features.
Building on this legacy, Eastwood Guitars has crafted a 12-string version of the Breadwinner, expanding its sonic possibilities for aficionados of rich chime and jangle. Retaining the signature aesthetic and ergonomic feel of its 6-string counterpart, the Breadwinner 12 opens up a vast sonic landscape, limited only by the bounds of your imagination.
Whether you're strumming lush chords suffused with shimmering brilliance or delicately picking out intricate melodies, the Breadwinner 12 stands ready to be your faithful companion on your musical odyssey. With its blend of heritage-inspired design and modern versatility, this instrument invites exploration and creativity at every turn.
All backing tracks written, performed, mixed & mastered by Ryan Plewacki unless otherwise noted.

Ovation didn't make a Breadwinner 12, but they did make a Deacon 12 which was the much more dee-luxe version of the Breadwinner. And I bought one used in 1978 for $200. Great guitar, but finding a case for it back then was a real chore.

Exactly right. The Ovation Deacon was the 12 string equivalent to the Breadwinner. I bought one new back in the 70's. Loved it, especially the wide neck (which made us fumble fingered amateurs sound half way decent). Always regretted selling it, but didn't use a 12 string enough to warrant keeping it.Beautifully made, though.

Am I the only one who keeps hearing "Mr Tambourine man" in their head? Been thinking about a 12 string for a while and have always liked the breadwinner shape so...

hello! first time I own a guitar with an active/passive switch option, or active at all, to "save" batteries what is better? switching to passive through the switch when not in play? unplug any cable from the guitar? or just take out the battery whenever not in play? I guess the latter has to be the answer but I'm afraid it could damage the battery port in the long run if I do that every day/everytime I play :/

hey there! great question. first off, the batteries drain VERY slowly, so it’s not something to fret about. i’m not sure if the switch disengages the charge, but a sure fire thing is to unplug when you’re not playing it!
