Easter Eggs You Missed in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Episode 1

Ойын-сауық

"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" is boldly going backwards, to the time of the original series, which was famously pitched as being "'Wagon Train' to the stars."
The series, set roughly between the events of "Star Trek: Discovery" and the original series, is coming out of the gate with a ton of references to "Trek" series past, with a heavy emphasis on "Enterprise," TOS, and "Discovery." There's starships named after characters you know, star charts full of places you know, and most unexpectedly, the long, long, long-awaited return of the Gorn.
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise… and these are all of the Easter eggs you missed in "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" episode 1.

Dude...the Gorn bit isn't an easter egg... The easter egg is La'an's story which coupled with her surname, Noonien Singh, and her general demeanor paint the following picture: 1.the colony ship she speaks of could be Botany Bay or related to it 2. the possible plot point of introducing Khan 3. Augments making an appearance very early in the series

@@kalad000 I've seen elsewhere that the PADD Pike has with him on board Shuttle Stamets (displaying La'an Noonien Singh's service file) notes the colony ship she was on was the S.S. Puget Sound. So it's a solid possibility that there's going to be a retcon about the number of ships launched from Earth containing Khan and his followers...or La'an will be made a descendant of the Augments shown in "Star Trek: Enterprise".

The Gorn was hardly an easter egg as it was talked about in detail, same as General Order One and how this mission made them think of calling it "The Prime Directive". For a list of Easter Eggs, you kind of missed the really really big one... twice! Admiral Bob! That's Robert April. First Captain of the Enterprise. Pike was his First Officer. You really lost it for me when you missed the first Easter Egg: The moment USS Archer came on screen, before we even knew its name, it was clearly a Hermes class scout from Franz Joseph Design's Star Fleet Technical Manual in the 70s, a design canonized in Wrath of Khan. Next, you missed that "Admiral Bob," was Robert April, Enterprise's first captain, and Pike's mentor in Starfleet. You really need someone who knows TOS and TAS to do these.

However, the authoritarian Cardassian Union wouldn't begin annexing nearby worlds like Bajor for several decades, until the early 24th century. He assumes these are Easter Eggs we missed. If your a TRUE fan and have followed along your entire life as I have (watched since 1966) then you missed nothing and caught every single one.
