Any information on rod weight and line type to better fish this type streams would be greatly appreciated. I’ve fly fished around 40 years but not for trout and these conditions. Thanks for the advice.

Having watched umpteen Drew lookin fishy videos, it's hard to imagine he could get excited about any trout water the southeast has. But then again it's hard to beat the scenery! Of course I'd have been tickled pink catching those fish. Nice video!

I have lived out west and fished all over the country. Been in the southeast for about 6 years now and I love these streams as much as anywhere that I've ever fished, even if the trout are on the small side compared to destinations like Wyoming and Montana. It's the natural beauty that makes them special for me. Drew gets it! That's why we fish with him every chance that we get. It just proves that he's a stand up guy and fishes for the same reasons as us, it's all about the experience!

Cortland Mk2 10' 2wt. It's my go-to nymph rod for small streams and smaller nymphs.
