Ok, now, let's get you two to come up to Michigan! Detroit-style pizza is the way to go! There are a few original creators of Detroit-style pizza still operating in their original locations! With the prosperity of the auto industry that Detroit enjoyed after WWII, came the creation of Detroit-style pizza. Baked in rectangular steel trays designed for use as automotive drip pans or to hold small industrial parts in factories, Detroit-style pizza evolved into its own category. Now, it's a hole in the wall, but I would love to see you stop in to Loui's, in Hazel Park. You have to try their pepperoni pizza and antipasto salad (with THEIR dressing), and you really need to eat it in the restaurant when it is hot and fresh. They still have and use some of their original automotive pans. I promise, it will blow your minds! 😉 If you would like a local guide, I'd be happy to make the 4-hour drive from northern Michigan, and show you around. Detroit is a bit rough, due to the decades of outsourcing material to "low cost countries". I worked 25 years in auto engineering and am now retired "up north".

We worked for the largest Generic pharmaceutical plant in the United States. Our company had been manufacturing for 56 years not one recall in the history of the company. Last July they decided to shut us down and take it overseas. I worked there for 35 years only job I ever had. John worked there for 20. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎

Our family has several favs. The taco pizza for sure, sausage and black olive, bbq chicken, and especially the Peanut Butter and jelly one. No buffet by us, that looked like a great value.

There used to be an East of Chicago pizza about 15 minutes from us in Ohio. Loved it & never knew why they left. They were always pretty steady. You’re bringing back good memories from there

It’s hard to find a good pizza buffet nowadays but you guys definitely found a good one here. All of the pizza looked good, especially with the buttery crust. The taco pizza had some great ingredients and looked excellent. Great video!

Great looking pizza guys. I'm sure it's good. Great prices. I went to my local Cracker Barrel today and they had all the Halloween Decorations u showed us on ur vlog. I was so excited to see them and be able to touch them. I couldnt believe they had them out. Last yr they did not.

Recently found your channel and subscribed immediately. Before I forget, Berlin is pronounced BER-lin (emphasis on the first syllable). Probably has it's roots related to WW-II, as did "liberty cabbage," which was sauerkraut. We had an East of Chicago Pizza Company in my home town (Ashland, Ohio); when I called for a take-out order on my way to work and the guy on duty ALWAYS recognized my voice and asked if I wanted my "usual order"---how's that for small-town service? To those posters in this thread who note "That is not Chicago-style pizza . . . ; no it is not. That is why the franchise is named EAST OF CHICAGO Pizza Company. Now I'm playing catch-up on your previous posts, and I love all I've seen!

Hope you have fun. It's a very relaxing and slow paced area. What you haven't seen at night they have three theaters that have comedy and plays in them We have seen two of them. The Amish Country Theater, The Ohio Star Theater at Dutch Valley and the Bird in Hand. They are very good. Check out the listing when you get there and decide if you want to go. They have someone different now. Just saw them two weeks ago and Riley the drummer has his own version of LA Guns. It's called Rileys LAs Guns. The regular band with Phil and Tracii Gunns is who I saw with Scot Coogan😎😎

Yes in Berlin Ohio there are not a lot places to eat at on Sunday. The salad bar did have a lot of fresh vegetables and they kept the pizza buffet loaded.😎😎

If you like pizza - you have to try park street pizza in Sugarcreek!!! It’s amazing / the best !! Right across from the local High school/ up by their football fields.

They used to have a location right by cedar point and we would leave the park there for lunch and go there to eat before going back. Part of my childhood but that location I believe is now a Dairy Queen?

Looks like they have thick crust on the buffet to fill you up quicker. Also that’s definitely not a authentic Chicago deep dish style pizza, it’s just thick crust pizza and there’s a big difference. Real deep dish pizza had a thin and crispy crust (especially Lou Malnati’s butter crust!) and is deep with cheese and toppings and the sauce goes on top not on the bottom! That’s also not antipasto since it has pasta in it unless I’m mistaken lol. Sorry, I have Italian family from Chicago and they’d kill me if I didn’t correct that. But the pizza looked really good! I’d definitely go after that taco pizza. The lettuce and toppings on that looks so nice and fresh!

Maybe that's why they call it East of Chicago. Whatever it was it was very good and for a great price. The antipasta salad we have here in the stores has pasta in it. Probably what area you live in it's made and called different. It all was great that's what matters. 😎😎

The prices are excellent but that is not Chicago style pizza. The crust is too thick and the cut is wrong. Most Chicagoans eat tavern style pizza with a thin crust and cut in squares. But if it tastes good that's all that matters.
