I firmly believe the East bests West in lyricism. Nas, Biggy, and many others had that aspect of rap on lock down. But from a producing/ instrumental standpoint I think West Coast has the distinct advantage. If you want to party, you’re most likely gonna pick a west coast song, but if you want to hear a story then East Coast is where it’s at. But that’s just my opinion.

I firmly believe the East bests West in lyricism. Nas, Biggy, and many others had that aspect of rap on lock down. But from a producing/ instrumental standpoint I think West Coast has the distinct advantage. If you want to party, you’re most likely gonna pick a west coast song, but if you want to hear a story then East Coast is where it’s at. But that’s just my opinion.
