    If you want to get rid of all the clutter in engine bay this is a great mod that is relatively cheap.

    I live in Houston gonna have to do this. I'm leaking coolant from the driver's side throttle body. At least I think cause that's where I seen the smoke coming from and the burnt coolant smell

    Thanks for the video. Quick question, what did you do with the pipes coming out of the throttle body? You attached the T to the vacuum lines and the sensor and closed down the bottom main lines. Did you leave the throttle body pipes open?

    (EDIT: PSA for random car-repair watchers/newbies) Most vehicles today have EGR, and on such cars those coolant lines keep the throttle body from getting heat-soaked by very hot EGR gases. As Eric explains below, that doesn't apply to his particular car(s), so he didn't mention it.

  • @ERICSDIYGARAGE

    @ERICSDIYGARAGE

    2 жыл бұрын

    Not this vehicle, it doesn't have a egr that connects to the throttle body

  • @RyanBissell

    I understand that could be the case, but I'd hate for someone to think that they could always "declutter" any engine by deleting their equivalent, when they don't understand the consequences on their own vehicle. I notice now that your video title specifically calls out the cars it applies to, but I didn't hear you mention the EGR angle for people who might think this works for every car. Those viewers are the ones I'm looking out for with my comments, here.

    @@RyanBissell most people would see the title and not watch the video if it's not specifically addressing the car that they own. I appreciate your comment but in this case I don't see the point of letting others know since this vehicle does not have that system
