I love this stitch. It's perfect for a baby blanket. I know I have said this before but I really enjoy your vlogs and tutorials. I tried to follow a pattern for a simple crocheted Christmas star. The pattern was so sketchy. It left out steps. I have been rereading patterns I collected years (1980's) ago. I know why I didn't develop as a hooker because the patterns weren't detailed. As I make my circles into squares (yes, I am still doing that), I hear you say, "Wrap your yarn and take off two." HA! You have also helped me to understand design. I now know when something doesn't look right, why it doesn't look right. Thank you again. Hope you have a blessed day!

I have crocheted for years and this is the first and best instruction I’ve ever seen on how to finish all the edges on a finished project. The pattern is similar to one I’ve made many times and just left the side edges as is. This method of finishing all the edges gives the project a completed look. Thank you.

I am too. How much yarn should I get?

Hi krista. Could you suggest a border for this busy pattern. I was just thinking about a few rows of single crochet. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You are an amazing teacher! I am 72 and was taught basic crochet by my grandmother when I was six. I have been “dabbling” with crocheting until I retired from teaching Special Ed students,5 years ago. Since then I have been looking at KZread videos trying to learn more about crocheting. You go into such detail when you teach that it takes ALL of the guess work on what to do and how to do it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Hi, Caren Crochet!! ...I think I did 105? Something like that. Just make yours the length you want it to be - don't worry about the stitch count. Multiples of 5 and you're good! xx

I absolutely love this pattern and am going to use it for my first grandchild, a little boy, that is coming in the first part of April. Thank you for posting this pattern and I subscribed so i wouldn't miss out on any other of your patterns. And you explain it just wonderfully, thank you again🧶❤

This blanket is absolutely perfect. It looks like a really complicated shell stitch but it’s so easy to do you don’t even have to look at it while crocheting!! Thank you so much. This will be a gift for my cousins first baby! 🥰❤️

Hi there! I have enjoyed making this blanket with you! I finished the size I wanted and started finishing out the border (single crochet into the space then chain two, single crochet in the top of the middle of the shell then chain one). You tell us to meet you at the end and then it jumps to you starting he next edge. How do we finish out that first edge and turn the corner before starting the next edge?
