7:24 to see end result Let me see if I understood correctly: Chain as many stitches as you want + 1 Row 1: start in 2nd ch, Sc all along. Chain 2 and turn R2: skip 1 stitch (2ch count as a stitch), “tall” HDC all along. Ch 2, turn R3: sc on back loop on every st, ch 2 and turn R4: HDC on every st, ch 2, turn Repeat row 3 and 4 until desired length

Beautifully done video! Just fantastic for everybody from beginner on up! I have only just begun to crochet. I've knit all my life. But i love crochet because of its beauty and, frankly, it's easier on my arthritic hands. Not to mention it works up so much faster. Also, i just love the way it "feels" to crochet. There's something very satisfying about it to me. This is the very first project I am going to make. It's super easy, seems very relaxing to do and I can chat and/or watch tv while working on it. Very basic stitch and work up to a pretty and lacy piece. Try a practice piece, measure and that will tell you how many stitches to multiply for the size you desire. Very nice pattern.
