Sluggo Plus (it's organic) also kills earwigs! I water well, and broadcast it all over the lawn, borders and food garden.

I planted 9 dahlias in pots. 2 of the pots were grow bags. Earwigs destroyed all of the ones in regular pots. They didn't touch the ones in the grow bags. Not sure why. This is my first time planting dahlias. Not sure if I'm going to plant them next year.

I would say slugs. The earwigs don’t seem to bother my dahlias until they flower. But slugs, they are the culprit for me.

What should I use?

Use insecticide dust or diatomaceous earth around the base of the plants. They spend the day in the mulch and climb up the plant at night. So that way you don’t have to apply poison to the plant. Just the ground around it.

Vegetable oil and soya sauce traps work. I filled a pot in one night, they attacked my new pear tree, left nothing behind.

olive oil. take an empty water bottle and cut a hole about 2inchin up. fill with olive oil about 1 inch and add cap. They are attracted to the smell, they get in and find it's too slippery to get out. Doesn't work with canola oil or veg oil. No need for beer, yeast or soy sauce.
