Earwax MD Review | Best Earwax/Cerumen Removal Drops? | Earwax Extraction | Ear Problems

Dr. Olson reviews Earwax MD, an over-the-counter earwax softener and removal product. EarwaxMD is designed to soften and remove earwax better than other leading brands of Earwax softeners. Cerumen removal can be a time consuming process so I wanted to see how well EarWax MD removed impacted cerumen.

Good video I ad my ears cleaned years ago, at a hospital with peroxide and warm water, they washed it pout with a syringe.... I now do it myself that same way with a bulb syringe... this Earwax MD sounds great I will try it soon. I have a lot of itching all the time. Great Video Doc!! Thumbs up Heather!!

This was an amazing video! I found this video after watching your other video about earwax candling. My dad’s hearing was so impacted by wax buildup that we had to practically shout for him to hear us. After using this product at home ONCE, his hearing improved by at least 500%.His regular doctor prescribed him debrox which had little to no effect.

This and the master blaster md saved my hearing, I was scepticle but I went to the store a second time and bought the master blaster and kept the drops in for an hour and then blasted it all out with water because it wasn’t working completely and I was so dead in my right ear that I was having panic attacks, so thank you.

This stuff works! After not being able to get an appointment with an ENT for two weeks, I figured I would try anything to unblock my ear. I tried four days of Debrox and flushed with an elctronic earigator I bought, and nothing. I tried it again and nothing. Finally, I watched your video and got myself some Earwax MD. After the first use quite a bit of wax came out. I can feel there is more in there, so in a couple of days I will do it again. Once I get it fully clear, I am going to use this stuff monthly, and hopefully, I will not have this issue again. Thank you for such a great review!!

Great video, Dr. Olson! When I was 7 years old in 1956 and 27 in 1976 I had to have impacted ear wax that was so deep that the doctor had difficulty in seeing it and and when he finally did, it had to be dug out. Water irrigation didn't work either time. It was extremely painful when a nerve or something down there was hit. Each time the amount of earwax was over a half inch long and very nasty! I've had the same feeling in my left ear for the last 25+ years, but the doctors have never been able to see anything. I may give Ear Wax MD a try to see if it might help. Please keep those great videos coming!

You’re the most informative doctor here. What is wrong when you put peroxide in your ear then tilt head so peroxide flows out...only it stays in . Is it stuck behind the wax or in the middle or inner ear. Further irrigation attempts were not made. I irrigated my sinuses daily and also am about to have work done on a couple of back molars that had root canals gone bad. My same ear has been problematic for years. An MRI only revealed a blue crayon. Lol srsly tho, no unusual signs, so what can I do before my appt with my ENT?

@@wizardninja7gaming764 That's not true. The Dr says, in this very video, that this is the best home remedy to remove earwax but he suggests a different suction apparatus than the one that comes with it. Why would he say that if you are meant to go to the doctor to have it removed. In fact, I'm pretty sure he mentions a couple of times that this can be done at home.

I wear hearing aids and I have to clean my ears out every week or two. I use an over the counter solution like Murine. I buy it at my Costco for $5.99 at the pharmacy counter and it works great! I let the solution sit in my ears for about 5 minutes and then squirt it out with the bulb thing. I usually do two rounds of this per ear and I'm able to see chunks of wax come out in the sink. If I don't do this on a regular basis my wax guards get clogged on my HAs.

Great video... but. I have had issues with severe ear wax build up for a fair few years now. I have had to go to the Dr's to get them properly flushed out with a weird pulsating device that uses warm water and a syringe type thing. Last visit I was told I had a compaction that was too hard to remove as the higher setting was causing me pain. So ear drops were recommended to loosen the wax before another flushing visit. This has been my first time using any ear drops. The solution was Carbamide Peroxide based. I think it is fantastic! I could tell it was instantly doing *something* from the weird 'fizzing' sound I was hearing. I applied a decent amount, tilted my head for a while until I couldn't hear the dissolving sound, then tilted my head the other way. The solution came out along with a bunch of earwax. There was more fizzing sound going on, and more and more wax came out. Absolutely fantastic and I can hear well enough again.

I provide custom hearing protection, mostly for those in shooting sports. I always inspect the ear canal. If I can't see the eardrum and the reflection of my lighted otoscope on the eardrum, I don't create the impression. Seeing the size and quantity of those plugs validates my practice. About 1-3 out of ten people I work with, I cannot see the ear drum and turn them away. Needless to say, it doesn't make for a happy client. But it makes me happy. Cause no harm and all of that! I have recommended Debrox and a visit to a professional. However, I will now recommend EarwaxMD in addition to a visit to a professional. Thank you for your extremely informative, logically presented videos. They truly help me provide a better service for my clients.

If it is caused by your jaw being out of whack you will usually have a clicking and/or popping type sound or even a “hitch” when you open and close your jaw! I would go in and find out because it can almost always be corrected (either by ear nose throat or a proper chiropractic adjustment) from what I’ve been told and is a massive relief when it finally stops!

Hey, did you have success with it and did you find the ideal way for suction? Ive been looking at a turkey baster, i got 2 for a $ in a market and remember thinking who would ever need 2 of them....well i guess now i have a use, do you think it would work or is it too big?

Hi doc, Anytime I tried an over the counter ear wax removal kit my ear would get infected once I put my hearing aid back in my ear. Maybe this product would work better.

So... It looks like in order for this product to be effective, you then have to go to the doctor to have them use suction and probing devices to pull out the wax. Might as well just go there to begin with.

If you keep using it each day in your ears, eventually the wax should mostly dissolve itself. Took me about 2 weeks an 30 mins a day on each day on ear ear to get great results. I don't trust ear syringing, and I would have had to pay to get a suction done. So I decided the long and tedious way would be best... Plus, it's required to constantly do this anyways to have your hearing be the best and not let wax build up

There is a bulb that comes with the product that you fill with warm water. Place it to your ear and squeeze. The water will rush in and flush all loosened pieces out of your ear canal. This is what they do at ER if you go in with clogged ear.

One other thing is I dont recommend hydrogen peroxide solutions because, as I learned from a veterinarian and ear candling, it leaves a white residue behind.
