Earthquaker Devices Avalanche Run Delay/Reverb

Today, we're taking a ride with the Avalanche Run by EarthQuaker Devices. The Avalanche Run marks EarthQuaker's first entry into a high-powered DSP platform, giving players a supercharged delay and reverb hybrid. Virtually every parameter available in the world of spatial time-based effects is offered up and adjustable. A toggle switch in the center selects the mode of operation: Reverse, Normal or Swell. One the mode is selected, the sound can be fine-tuned with two mix knobs. The topmost Mix control adjusts the wet and dry balance of the delay signal, and the bottom Mix control adjusts the reverb level. The reverb algorithm is voiced to emulate classic plate reverb, the kind found on every classic rock record ever cut. The Avalanche Run truly excels in the control department, featuring a handful of tap tempo subdivisions and expression control, adjustable to almost every parameter. One extremely innovative feature of the EXP knob is the ability to control the toggle switch to seamlessly glide between the Normal and Reverse modes. The Avalanche Run also features true stereo ins and outs for signal routing junkies, as well as momentary oscillation blasts by holding the tap footswitch. And like all EarthQuaker Devices, the Avalanche Run is built atop a treacherous black diamond ski piste in Akron Ohio.

I constantly find myself coming back to this video just to watch Andy play that intro. Love it!
The magnificent seven!!!! Andy's song choices are always really on top :)
Loved Don't Panic in the beginning! You're the best, Andy.
Your pedal demos are always very tastefully done. Thank you.
As always, excellent demo. Any time I'm considering yet another effects pedal, your demos are the first I look for.
Excellent demo, amazing play! The song at the beginning is so appropriate. Thanks for share this video.
What a cool use of the pedal! Thanks again, Andy.
like how you put us straight into a song from the start, instant inspiration :D
great demo andy! awesome pedal too, perhaps the best reverb/delay pedal i've ever heard/seen...
I love the Goofy scream after the "ski piste" bit. :D
First pedal to get me really excited in awhile. Super dope. Love it.
The Clash in there was awesome! Nice choice! This pedal sounds really fun top. Great demo!
EQD is on fire lately with these combo pedals. Grey Channel, Spires, Avalanche Run.
Great rendition of Don't Panic. :) this pedal is ridiculously cool.
this guy is AMAzING. thanks for your hard work, man. i am subscribed. i am SO glad to have found you.
Andy is the man! Somehow, when other reviewers fiddle around aimlessly or yammer on about some anecdotal happenstance, Andy gets right to the point and concisely identifies the core features. And these demos are about how to really use these exotic pedals in a truly musical context, not just, "Oooo, look what noises this weird device can make." Andy rules!

Oh my god dude that intro demo, lovely surprise!
I just got one and and this demo makes it sound great in actual songs, not just knobbing around. Thanks!
I just discovered the existance of this pedal. I already have a Dispatch Master, which is one of my favourite pedals and certainly my favourite reverb or delay pedal. I now have GAS for an Avalanche Run and can see it being ideal on the larger of my two pedal boards (with the Dispatch Master on the small one).
Man, Paul Rudd really knows how to sell a pedal. Also, Don't Panic is the only song I've ever liked by Coldplay.

There are so many great tones in that pedal.
Man, The intro is Superb. Loved the sound, I wish I have the money to purchase this one or the GFI Specular Tempus 🤣.
I could listen to this fella on a balmy beach evening for hours. ty 4 vid
Magnificent Seven! Nicely done.
Andy, I love your reviews & playing style
Beautifully played cover. Showing off the Tele and pedal to its full effect.
Dig the lagging pitch bender setting, and your G&L, cool pedal, cheers for the demo.
Definitely need more than one video Andy
Holy cow! With that jam at 3:10 I'm sold! It's like having a dub DJ mixing the guitar in real time. Beautiful!

One day, I hope to be as cool as Andy. Is there any song he can't absolutely nail? I love this pedal so much! I'll have to wait for it second hand, or if it ever goes on sale, cause it's a bit out of my budget. Beautiful sounds & so many options for sound. Thank you guys! I never buy a pedal without checking your demos first.
I’m a sucker for a good guitar effects pedal demo, but that riffing on the Short Volume Swell setting(s) at the end was amazing and had me grinning!
Your demos are always tasty. Makes me want that pedal bad!

I really like how weird this pedal can get and so far the other demos I've watched haven't touched on that at all. The weirdness is why I'm getting this pedal.
amazeballs.
Something tells me this would pair amazingly with the Afterneath?
Let's hear it for Andy! 👍🏻 Great pedal too...heh heh
Starting this review with coldplay to show the reverb on the original song, brilliant choice.
2:49 sounds super clean!
I detect some Rainbow Machine in those weird laggy bits.
