Earth's Simple Bounty

It has been years since we have grown our own garlic. I have been dying to grow this simple yet rewarding crop. Growing garlic for our family of 8!
Welcome to our High Desert Homestead where we inspire the dreamers to make big plans in small spaces! We have lived in four different U.S. States over the past eight years. In that time I learned to cook from scratch, bake with sourdough, and grow gardens wherever we lived. I grew blueberry bushes at a rental where I couldn’t “garden,” I grew tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, beets, radishes and flowers on our apartment balcony, I grew herb gardens in sunny window sills, and began my journey towards growing our homestead on our one acre property here in the high desert.
Let’s learn and grow together wherever we are on our homestead journey!

@@highdeserthomesteader I'll be taking my garlic out in a couple of weeks but left one small bulb so that I can collect the seeds to replant. It's a 2 year process but may be something for you to look at next harvest because those seeds have been conditioned to your growing zone. Thought I'd share that with you. - Krista -

Wow. you got a nice crop of garlic. I get frustrated when my crochet or knitting yarn gets a tangled spot; I want to cut it; but try and be patient and un knot it. haha. I love watching the kiddos helping in the garden. Until next video have a good weekend and week.

Hi. I have a question. I was looking at your face, and I see some white spot round your eyes. The reason I asking is because I have Vitiligo, and I was wondering if you start that on you. Just curiosity. Sorry not try to be rude, nothing like that. Hope you forgive me to asking. Take care. Rogerio 🇨🇦
