One of the very, very few bands I never get tired of listening. Most of their albums, especially the more mature/latest ones are pure magic for the ears. They really have a true unique style and inimitable aesthetics in their music, for me evoking in each listening a dusty old town at dusk, muscle car parked under a sizzling bar neon bar sign, pine trees collecting sand in the wind… Such a great unique band.

What's your favorite album of theirs? Or your couple/few favorites? I only know "The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull" well. I have the 2xLP of it.

When I see Dylan Kurt does come to mind but the person that comes to mind even more so is Mark Lanegan because those two shared a bond that was really much deeper and close.If not for the fact that their friendship had more of a chance to develop more deeply because of Kurt's death but Lanegan and Kurt were also very good friends.Dylan and Mark's friendship existed from early on and saw a lot of their best friends taken by heroin or other things and though Kurt was obviously a great loss of a close friend for both Dylan and Mark there were others who are just as missed.

Just heard an interview on this Grateful Dead fan podcast and he says he got sober in 2020. Wonder if he meant got off methadone or subs or what. I just dont see him getting too into fent since he had done so much H and knows how much fent sucks compared to fent
