Finally, a video that talks everything positive about psychology. I am feeling so relieved right now. Actually, I am in the 2nd year of my ba psych course and I am under the training of a counseling psychologist and I actually see my trainer have so many clients and earning from various sources. This was really really motivating. And you are so right about quora. I used to highly follow quora a few months back and after reading some negative answers, I was doubting if I have made the right choice of transitioning into this field. But you cleared all my doubts. Thanks, di. Thank you so much. P.S: Quora glorifies govt jobs and people getting into the mainstream medical field a lot in my opinion. And according to it, either you are a govt employee or a mainstream doctor, otherwise, you are dead. You won't succeed in your life if you don't do either of these two.

Your videos have been soo reassuring and helpful. It would really be great if you could talk about where one could go for training after master's. If there are any clinics or hospitals that do the training for postgraduate students pls mention them

This was really helpful. I just joined my masters and I was very scared about the financial aspect of psychology. I really want to help people but at the same time, I want to be financially independent and save for my Mphil/phd etc. This helped me a lot. Thankyou ❤️❤️❤️

I really want to do psychology but the thing is that.. it's not something that's too demanding in the Indian market . How many times have we been to a psychologist?? Maybe not even once.. However, we all have been a victim of anxiety or depression sometimes or another.. So, from the charity point of view it's the best thing one can ever do but not from the carrier's point point of view..

India has a huge huge huge population, even though you will find lakhs of people who may not consider going to a therapist or seek counselling, you will still find lakhs of people who are conformable with it. If you are an experienced psychologist in a tier-1 city in india, its one of the best things.

I think career as a psychologist is gonna become a thing in few years. India also has become lot more aware towards mental health.... specially young generation has access to internet so they know about it....after few years alot of people will be going to psychologist.

@@humanbeing4928 that's true tho the society of India actually sees psychological problems as taboo or mental illness hopefully the younger generation will seek help because the mental health in India is very much suppressed

Rather than going to a psychologist people prefer to go to a pyschiatrist because it is a long process . This wave of so much mental health awarness is suddenly going again

Hello Thankyou for this video :) I wanted to ask something like for taking sessions we need to have our own clinic or like place right ? Can't we just take sessions on a online platform? Also it would be grateful if you make a video on or give some info on types of psychologist :)

Hey! divija please help!! Can you also talk about clinical psychology and how can we earn a good career and livelihood from it. Like while dealing with higher order mental health issues. And also through research? Like my question is what are the options if we are not gonna opt for counselling psychology. I actually am really fascinated and passionate about the subject. I'm actually in school( humanities group) and I'm really hoping of choosing psychology and also achieving financial independence as soon as possible (cuz of my family background) . But I'm not sure about counselling psychology. (ik I'm kinda talking with a half baked knowledge) Yk the ncert class 11 psychology book starts with a chapter of introduction with branches and career opportunities included. Frankly I thought there are a lot of options and thought that I could get what I want. But then, ppl around me 🤷. And also I need to know whether that's actually true. Like I have been to therapy sessions by myself. A person related to me closely actually had clinical depression. So I have also been to a mental health hospital. ( Was a hospital run by a group of psychiatrists, clinical cand counselling psychologists) Frankly that's what motivated me towards the line also it has always fascinated me. So, I have seen ppl who were well settled and were doing this job. So I'm kinda confused...... (Ps. I live in a metropolitan city)

Hey, it was a great video! and I have a doubt. Wouldn't the client feel uncomfortable if there is another person (psychologists under training) in the room. Because usually, it's a professional relationship between therapist and client right. So how would the therapist convince the client?
