Thanks, Linda, glad you are enjoying them.
5909 - a good all-round engine that made a steady but solid effort on steeper parts of track. 3616 - a solid engine but it smoked it up when idle at one point for a photographic run-by, indicating it didn't take to being held back. 3616 is still with us as part of the NSW Rail Transport Museum collection. 2603 managed to pull its weight on the climb to Wimbledon while 2532, smoking it up, was clearly not accustomed to moving a heavy train up hilly grades. 5606 - smoked it up when idle but ran like a horse once on the move - literally paced by aroused horses at one point - showing an engine that clearly didn't stand for being held back. 6040 - literally comes in like a bedraggled worker pulled in at short notice, but did a good job anyway. Regards, Samuel Farris.
Excellent video. Quite a selection of motive power on the one Tour. STARPS certainly ran some unique tours in those early days. Thanks for sharing.
What an assortment on that tour. Never thought I'd see footage of a 25 class operating
What a variety! :-)
A very good video we had 59 class at Enfield good engine 3616 was the best one of those I worked on I remember the 25 had small wheels and I think a wooden cab it was a long time ago
Sat in the dark yesterday watching all my belbin DVDs.
In the long coat jumping down from the 59 at Valley Heights could that be Cornelius Ambrose?

David, I'd say so, he frequented the more interesting tours.
