Hi I have a 400 day clock, had it for 10 years. But over the last couple years it would stop. At first it would start up and run for months and over time it would only run for shorter times. I’ve changed the suspension spring to a 0.102 mm and I have a 0.114 spring. From watching the movement I noticed the escape wheel at the anchor jamming. I’ve noticed wear on the escape wheel. Not sure how to send pictures . Any ideas?

@@alanbirchenough7263 I would be very surprised if the escape wheel had any wear , if it hasn’t been serviced in the last 10 years then there is probably congealed old oil causing friction, it probably just needs a service if you are on facebook just message me on messenger @torsiondell

Another great job Derek. Would like to know if you sprayed the lacquer or wiped it on? How long do you have to wait for it to dry?

Thanks Mark spray it on leave 1 hour to dry in summer but I leave overnight when it’s cold.
