Never used a Leica. I agree with you 10,000% percent. If money were no object, I would pretty much only shoot film. I type, "pretty much", because I'd use my phone for random things when I'm just going about my day, but for dedicated photography, I'd love to be able to afford to consistently shoot 4 or 5 rolls of film per month and have it processed professionally. Perhaps the "tool" shouldn't matter, but for ME, there is something magical about holding my Pentax 67, Nikon F3, or Nikon FM3a. Just holding them and hearing the shutter sound makes the horrors of this world disappear (for me).

Exactly bro!
Wow Marcus, these pictures are stunning! Excellent framing, it makes feel like I'm there. The M6 is a great camera but my heart belongs to the M3

I hear ya on the m3 especially if you shoot 50mm
You do love a sloping sea 😂
Shooting sunrise is my favourite too. Nothing beats the crispness of early mornings, seeing the world around you wake up.
I really enjoyed this video (combined a few of my favorite things: Photography, Leica Ms, Travel, and the seaside). As for the M6 being your forever camera…Maybe. I find them to be addictive. MP, M-A, M7, M6, and I’m still thinking about a black paint MP and the new M6.
Great video dude! The photos and footage were absolutely spectacular! The photo with the peacock on the porch at 1:29 was my favorite! Also, you made some good points about film vs digital. Film definitely puts you in a vastly different mindset creatively.
Congrats on the m6! I just bought an MP and the day I got it shot a whole roll of film Just to get it developed the next day and see home the film photos come out !
Man, living the life! Going to pretty places and shooting pretty pictures!! I'm envious! ☺
Very nice shots!
hell yeah bro, happy you’re enjoying the cam

I love it bro!
As usual, it's perfect. The colors are crazy and the images really pop. It's so similar to the result with the M8. Following your videos, I bought the M8 with the voigtlander...I'm going to wait a little longer to take an m6 🤙

Thanks Vincent! Enjoy the m8, it’s truly a special camera
Glad you joined the M6. Own one too. And an Elmarit 28mm. Very nice are also the 35mm summicron Type IV and the 50mm summicron.

Enjoy the m8 fam! I will forever love that camera
Last month I had an opportunity to get a brand new MP Black Paint for a good price, even though I have the M2. Kind of felt like this would be my "forever" camera and the one which inspire me to shoot more film, while shooting less, be more considerate and really in the zone, in the focus of what I shoot. So yeah, I went for it and been carrying it on me each day since. Just a few shots while on a walk, being present with my family, enjoying the time...I guess we're up to a good start.
Thanks for sharing your early Leica M6 impressions with us. I do not have a 28mm lens for my M6. I do, however, have a Fui GSW690 medium format rangefinder with a fixed 65mm f/5.6 lens that I use for a 28mm equivalent. For my M6, I use the following: 90mm f/2 Leitz Summicron 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss Distagon 21mm f/1.4 Leitz Summilux

That’s a lovely kit right there
Great to see you enjoying the M6 so far! Curious if you have had any instance of getting a shot back and wishing you had taken it on the GW690 instead or does the Leica glass on 35mm really hold up? Appreciate your time and happy shooting!

I honestly grab the gw690 if the scene feels perfect. If I shoot a few frames on 35 then I know. Other times it’s because I only bring one camera out at a time.
Love how crisp these photos look given it’s 35mm film. Leica glass aside, do you get the enhanced or super enhanced scans from legacy to help get those results?
@MarcusLloyd

I go with super enhanced but the enhanced results are really Good too
I love taking early morning photos on vacation too. Quick question, how do you prevent your lenses from fogging up when you leave your room in the morning? Do you just keep your bag outside on a balcony or something?

Bro that’s such a good question. I would sit the camera outside as soon as I woke up so by the time I left out to shoot it’s good to go
Love this video and the photos! Question for you - what speed film did you use for the indoor photos?

I have 2 leica camera, the old m6 ttl and the new m6 reissue 2022, for user experience they both feel the same, the big difference between them is the viewfinder and the light metering, the new one is have a much better viewfinder and have more reliable light metering system that always spot on exposure than my old m6 ttl, in my old m6 ttl most of my photo was under exposure

Portra 400 and Ektar 100
Film only!?! You getting rid of the M10 ?!? Also, you can for sure tell the difference when you're shooting Leica glass! I have the Elmarit 28mm for my M8 and there's something about the contrast and the sharpness that other lenses just can't compete with. I believe it has to do with the quality of the lens elements they use. Loved the video and photos btw!

We are all in danger of replacing the joy of photography with equipment. I do agree that the Leica M line of cameras have a certain feel to them, Perhaps because of lack too m #]uch automation and frivolous features, they concentrate the mind of the photographer on the photography, but they are not for everyone nor are they suitable for every situation. Good photography though. You have a good eye for composition. Now I have to decide if I take my M6 out or the M240 or my Nikon D810?
Love these images. Tough call on the M8 tho 😢
