EAM S Jaishankar on why Europe’s perspective of world’s problems is flawed

"Europe has to grow out of mindset that its problems are world's problems, but world's problems aren't Europe's problems. Today linkages being made between China and India and what's happening in Ukraine. China and India happened way before Ukraine", said EAM S Jaishankar at GLOBESEC.

When was India's FM so vocal and confident about India's interests? I don't remember such FM during Khangress rule. Would Mr Jaishankar be so bold if India was lead by a weak and compromising government possibly with Pappu as PM? Why don't you ask: why doesn't an incident like 26/11 happen in India anymore, and assuming that it does happen, do you think India will not retaliate? Do you know after 26/11, Indian army wanted to retaliate but couldn't do so because of a weak government. Any minister of the the government represents the position of the party. Why didn't any HM before Amit Shah was strong enough to overlook abrogation of article 370? So your argument of praising Mr Jaishankar "irrespective of party line and political ideology" is very weak. Be honest and acknowledge that BJP is best for India.

We were plundered for 800-1000 years, even this is debatable as per different historians. It wasn’t only British, they were most cruel, but not only one. We have fought with arms and knowledge & those values are ingrained in my learned man’s brain.

right, despite having 1/3rd the world's population and gdp, afew kingdoms could not unite against a larger invader and allowed themselves to be individually conquered. the religion and way-of-life was rediculed, taxed and people were forced to convert. Later on, a privately owned company, with the help of hired soldiers conqured the entire sub-continent. Let's not be ridiculous ourselves. mistakes were made. while yes, it is great that 80% of modern day india was able to retain religion and way of life, its also true that 20% of modern day india has been lost, and if you include akhand bharat, that number is probably closer to 45-50%. ultimately , I am still very grateful that our ancestors were able to maintain their dharma dispite huge inconvinences, and in my opinion, it should be the duty of every dharmic person to ensure that the civilization continues.

Come on guys…please frame your questions properly when it comes to the Smart man. By framing questions which has China on one side and US on another and asking whose side India will take, they want to us to comment negatively about China so that we tell on world platforms that China is our enemy. All they want to see is that our relationships with our neighbours are not stable and that is their gain. If India and China ties improve, it will worry the West.
