A feeding is taking place as this video begins, but JC24 is a bit distracted. S/he has his/her eye on the JC7 branch that JC23 reached the day before.
Not one to be outdone, JC24 decides its their turn to check out this new territory, and in one graceful motion, s/he leaps right over - mission accomplished!!
After spending about an hour and a half in this great new space, JC24 makes a beautiful "sideways" flight right back to the nest for an epic celebration!

WOW!!😳 JC24 sure is such a brave Eaglet if I may say. It freaked me out that he/she wasn’t gonna make it to the branch or even make it back to the nest too. Maybe the wind had helped JC24 which was a good thing. So I guess now that both have branched, now we are probably gonna be seeing a lot more of that happening unless they liked it but thought it wasn’t as easy as they thought.🤔. But, I think it’s still awesome the accomplishment they both were able to make. They surly are getting bigger and more confident which is something Eaglets do and have too. These two are such adventurous souls & they just love "competing" with each other's leaps and flutters. Doesn't matter if it's windy, rainy, etc. - they just want to fly!
