Charlie Longley yeah but he just couldn’t get it done. Second place is good and all but getting second place every year never gets you anywhere. Sometimes you’ve gotta move on.

You have to understand that by this point Andy was burned out in Philly and the fans knew it. He needed a change of scenery and so did we. I do not begrudge Andy the success he found in KC. He is still the best coach the Eagles ever had. We were consistent winners in a division that was VERY competitive back then. Multiple division titles and trips to the NFC Championship game. Contrary to what this video may portray Andy is still well loved and very respected by Philadelphia fans. I expect that success in KC to continue for years. I have to admit a tear rolled down my cheek when Andy finally got a SB win as a head coach.

But it was his fault for eating up 4 minutes plus in the fourth quarter of the super bowl. He was happy lose by 3 points. Btw we had McNabb without any legit receivers throughout his peak years except the superbowl year he had Owens in regular season & the superbowl (not during play offs). Reid couldn't build an offense with good let alone great talent around McNabb (Maclin, Jackson, McCoy all came too late). You have Alex Smith a game manager. let's see if Reid gets you to an AFC championship game first then talk. He's not as good as you think. At this point he'd out stayed his welcome in Philly with his poor play calling & he never mastered how to preserve or run down the clock. Remember when you Chiefs lost after the big lead in the play offs? That's Reid.

Why are so many saying they messed up when they fired Andy? The organization ended up winning a Super Bowl afterwards as well as Andy with the Chiefs. If he had stayed in Philly nobody may have won a ring. You don't even have to follow sports to understand that logic.

Philly fired their Super Bowl winning Head Coach and QB. And their GM may be the worst in football. The only pro bowler he's drafted in 9 years isn't on the team anymore. That Super Bowl ring seems to excuse years of mediocrity, maybe even worse than the Giants and their rings with Eli. Meanwhile, Andy Reid went to a Chiefs team with losing seasons 5 of the previous 6 years, and made them respectable. They haven't had a losing season since. He turned one QB from bust to pretty good, and drafted another one named Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs CLEARLY ended up as the better organization after Reid and Philly parted ways. BTW, I say this as a fan of the Chargers, who were ALSO looking to hire Andy Reid in 2013. Don't get me wrong, 4 winning seasons in 8 years is okay. They've beaten the Mahomes era Chiefs in Arrowhead twice, and the transition from Rivers to Herbert makes me happy. Even with that said, I've watched a division rival become the new 'it' team. In hindsight, the AFC West would've all been winners if Andy Reid was still on the Eagles

john berry The Chiefs got lucky the whole season, especially in that eagles game where we had so many muffed punts and fumbles and drops. The Chiefs may have started out 9-0, but for their last 7 games of the season they went 2-5. They also game up a HUGE lead againts the colts in the wildcard. Exactly!!! It's like down here in Tampa. So many think the Bucs messed up when they fired Tony Dungy. But if Dungy had stayed it's not a guarantee they win that Super Bowl the following year. Even if Jon Gruden won with Dungy's team it's not a guarantee Dungy would have won with Dungy's team. That's living in "what if" land. Dungys dismissal lead to the Bucs winning a Super Bowl and him winning one with the Colts.

Since firing Andy Reid, the Eagles finally got their Super Bowl victory, but have also made 4 coaching changes and 5 Starting QB changes; meanwhile Andy Reid has been to the Super Bowl three times with Kansas City and has won two of them, including one over the great Jalen Hurts and the 2022 Philadelphia Frauds

2BH Eagles Fans, The Eagles should fire Reids butt. It has taken a toll on the team and the blame is all on Reid for the losing seasons with Philly.

Philly fans definitely are a rough bunch, but a lot of this "bad reputation" has been hyped up by the media. They can't go a minute without mentioning THE WILD AND CRAZY EAGLE FANS OMGGG. I still consider Andy a true Eagle. He may not have gotten us the ring but numerous NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl appearance that's excellent and I don't know any other coach back in the Andy Reid's day as our coach who could have done a job as good as Andy. Also the team that Chip Kelly inherited was well put together and produced a #2 offense. This is mostly players who Andy Reid drafted/signed. Now as Andy was leaving, he was putting emphasis on the defense but didn't get to finish. Now Chip Kelly was left with a horrendous defense to try to bandage. But I wish Andy the best of luck with KC. He's already doing a great job in KC.

Growing up as a Chiefs fan, I endured the Todd Haley and Herm Edwards eras which was some of the most heartbreaking seasons to be a Chiefs fan. The Eagles were always fun to watch when I was a kid and so I kind of rooted for them because my Chiefs were so damned embarrassing. I'm thankful for Andy Reid (although he makes me want to pull my hair out sometime) and all Reid has done in KC. I'm thankful for Philly firing him. To be honest, it was a good decision too considering the Eagles had success with Doug Pederson and has success with Nick Siriani. I definitely respect the Eagles and still find myself rooting for their success. Just not against the Chiefs lol.

who else noticed the halftime board said 24 13 and the scoreboard after halftime said 31 13 i got a good laugh at that one

This was a bad time for us. The Eagles had sent out fake Patriots fans at this game to try and bait people into starting with them. Aside from that and the drama with Andy Reids son and the just how bad the team was. Opposing fans were taking over our stadium on a weekly basis. Christ there was a game where Bengals fans took over the linc. No foolin' BENGALS fans. Such a low point. It takes some bitter piss to put the spice in victory.
